im a big diablo2 LOD fan, and while i dont know anything about hellgate london i do know a bit of guild wars. i played and my brother still playes it after about a year and a half....anyway my bro is a hardcore mmo fan, yes it's free, i didnt really like guild wars myself but it's becuase i transitioned from Diablo to guildwars and found it not the same, it's my fault i think for being jaded but if you need the opinion here it is.

Now guild wars is a confusing game, you can only meet people in towns so you might appreciate it from diablo, looting is much like diablo as well, except when you kill you get the item. even though it's called guild wars be carful which guild you join becuase some are just there to take your money, and if you care about graphics they are pretty nice even today.something really great is that when you invest points into a skill in your level up you can at anytime decide to reallocate that point into something else so it's a flexible game. Unfortunatly it's very prone to grinding....combat is not vey exciting, it's what turned me off, game is probably about 30 bucks now so give it a try, seems to promise hours of gameing.

we all get the mood to play different kind of games, to be a great mayor, a famed war general, successful guild leader , etc.. well i just recently picked up a copy of rise and fall civilization at war and the rts/fp blend is genious (the music helps too), it's really great, build your own army, march along side them in battle and effect the battle first hand. I wanted to ask is there a game where i can play in the first person and manage troops in that mode?? I liked warriors orochi but something a bit slower, and with more allied troops who follow closer....mabey im asking for too much, but is there a game or am i just preaching of a pipedream..

I read about this game I was excited about a couple months ago. I forgot about it quickly and now i cant seem to remember it's name... what was exciting was that this game had biplanes and zepplins for waging a sort of wwi kind of attack. i dont remember if it was an rts or an rpg..

anyone help me out on finding it or atleast something similar i always wanted to play a game based on wwi but empire earth, RONROL, and C&CRAjust didnt cut it for me. i want to play somethingsort of like that episode of full metal alchemist when that blond short dude was sent to the 1920's technological version of britan and large bombing zepplins are burnt with biplanes. sorry about the broken sentences im a little out of it today.

in case that hellgate london thing didnt hit, basically yeah it is a chat room but no one really listens in there. So what you do is call up your freinds on the phone and get thier username, add them to ur freinds list with /f add (the command in game to add freinds in your F.L.) then you can communicate with them in game call them up and say hey come join my game. Unfortunatly the only way to get people in is hope they join ur game, otherwise it is basically just you and ur party in the whole game world, no one else. so dont expect to go out alone and hope some group of people just happen to cross your path and save you (as cool as that would be).
