Me and a few other guys I play with have a huge problem. We are all pretty experienced Halo 3 players with three of us being rank 47 on other accounts. For fun we bought 4 new accounts which we ONLY played when all four of us could play together. Therefore, our experience is all the same, this was just for fun as we all have several other accounts. Anyway, the only game type we have played is team slayer besides about 5 double experience games. Up to this last weekend we had played right around 300 games and had lost 5 and lagged out of one. Strangely enough our rank was only 21 in team slayer even though we had won around 295 games of team slayer. This last weekend we all got together and starting Sun night untill early Wednesday morning pretty much just played Halo 3, team slayer. We won 171 games in a row and did not rank up to a 22 until the 171st. Not even realizing we ranked up (we quit paying attention) after we lost the next game (the 172nd) we deranked back down to a 21. During the next 50 or so games we won all but two. The other two games we lost we ranked down each time. So to sum up what happend, we won about 220 games during the three days and ranked up once, we lost three games (not consecutively though) and ranked down each game we lost! We are now 19 in team slayer. Someone told me we are not ranking up because we beat the teams we play againt too badly, which doen't make sense, I mean, you bearly win and rank up, but if you completely rape you don't?! The average number of points that the teams get against us is around only 15-20 (yes, one of us is nerdy enough to figure that out). If someone could explain what is going on I would love to find out. As much fun as it was to have Bungie dump on us this week, I would love to rank up on those accounts.
