I heard we get XMB 2D Trophy's in 2.40 too. They are not meant to replace home trophy's , not sure how it all fits.

PS3 Recording Function I think this is using an spe to record what your playing to the ps3 HDD Some type of video/screen capture .... Would be so awesome if so. Makes sense with the youtube video uploading enabled functionality. Wouldn't be much point of that feature unless we could record video to the ps3 HDD IMO.

I would guess 2.40 comes out some time in June.

I always end up getting to sites with PS3 mods, I can't find any PC mods, i saw skins where you can play as master chief from halo, Cole from gears of war, and Nomad from Crysis, where do I get them?catlin_czirr

I would say PS3. Sony's going to have alot going on after spring they will have finished laying down the ps3 foundations with home , in game xmb and it will be all about building that library. They have alot of ip's and in house studio's to draw on. Also the highly anticipated games like The Agency, NCsoft's 2 projects, Naruto PS3 Project, Team ICO project, GoW 3, R2, KZ2, White Knight Story, Wardevil, BlazBlue, LA Noire, FF13 etc. will get psn demos or trailers shown off. They already have alot expected to drop around that time as well. Like MGS4/MGO , Tekken 6, GT5 prologue. Not to mention the new SKU could be revealed anytime between now and then.

360 will have some goods to show too NG2, Alan Wake , Fable 2 , Mass Effect 2, Gears 2, Halo Wars, Peter Jackson Project, Whatever Bungies going to do next, Rare's got surprises, Maybe even a Killer Instinct 360. etc.

Everyone will be excited over something. Personaly the ps3 announcements are what I want to hear most.

Analysts are starting to project PS3 to overtake even wii in a year or so. The sales trends are showing that PS3 will overtake 360 by years end. Wii while not the fad most thought it was still wont last long enough to see such success as ps2 IMO. PS3 could break ps2's record by 2012. It will get hotter and hotter since it is the only console with an internal blu ray drive, great specs, a great line up. etc. Psp Is going to be hot as well especially next month with CC and GoW CoO dropping in the same month. :shock:

I have the opportunity to get either a Xbox 360 20GB or a PS3 80GB free through work. Which system would be wiser to get at the current time? I realize this thread has been started many times, but I know that both consoles have been out for quite some time now and want to know which is the best in everyone's opinion. Help appreciated.

PS3 would be the wise choice. In light of Blu Ray format victory. 360's have the highest failure rate of any console ive ever heard of.

Ultimately though it depends on what games you most want to play I guess you should look at each consoles line- up ,and current library as well as BC library's and choose the console that has the games you want to play most.
