Operation Flashpoint getting alot of hate... and push ups!
by DeanCorleone on Comments
Wow, I was checking out the Operation Flashpoint website and damn, that games getting alot of hate on consoles. I can see why, but then again, I also have trouble... If it sounds stupid I'll break it down for you.
Most people want instance action (Call of Duty) style game player, they don't want the realistic stuff, so they approach Flashpoint with the wrong mentality. Last night playing with a Marine buddy of mine we had to lead-frog from tree to tree while trying to get ourselves OUT of an engagement we wouldn't win while also trying to evade air patrols... to me thats exciting and realistic. Now these other kids I was playing with prior complained "My guys cardio sucks." ... while we just got done sprinting 400meters all out with 70lbs of gear... if anything they gave up a bit of movement for the sake of gameplayer. Playing on hardcore is GREAT! Nothing better. You've got to keep a mental note of your north and south headings so enemies being called out you'll have a chance to zone in on. Getting up ambushes, hitting and falling back, leaving the enemies blind - the game lets you do all that if you know how. My frustation sets in with the AI. I got a big bone to pick with my squad. The bastards rarely enter a structure and dig in when I tell them you - the medic is using his own supply and will only aid you when its a good time for him, they open fire on people they really shouldn't be able to see (eagle eye guys.) along with the enemy AI engaging us back in a smiliar manner. Besides the frustation of that I can look on to see the games real good. People also complain about the graphics - which is annoying. They don't seem to take into account how big this open world is - and that you can walk every inch of it if your heart desires. The weapons are great, the sounds are wonderful. I highly enjoy the game.
Now for push ups! Still haven't started working on yours? Be abit more healthy without the gym, without any cost what so ever, just your body-weight... check it out fatty.
Operation Flashpoint

Very interested in operation flashpoint mostly due to it being a highly detailed military SIM. That weeks going to come and go before ya' know it - I hope it wasn't downgraded to much for the 360. Still getting ready for my entry into the US Army, might just be the last enjoyable game I play before boot.
Good O'l Army.

Well getting geared up to enter boot camp as I've been doing for some time now. MEPs on the 22nd, and then out the door I head. Going to have to put down the games, stop editing the health site, and endure getting yelled at for no reason for awhile, heh. If anyone wants to firefight on Halo ODST hit me upon Xbox Live as Dean Corleone (user name but with a space).

Being healthy as a gamer.

Alot of gamers slave away, for hours on hours behind the games and often ignore breaks for the rest room... Every notice how slightly into afew hours of playing online you feel at your peak? Your performance is good, then you start to get frustrated? Yeah well that could be due to several things - one is of course a break is in order, the other being you've not eaten in awhile. Pay attention to your body and also try to keep it healthly while you are not gaming (if you are ever... not gaming.) Check out this place for a simple help index on all your questions and concerns - its under constant update. If you don't live long enough to see the Xbox 920, or the PS19 thats on you. I'll be playing.
Xbox 360 red ring self repairs and fixes! A bud and me tried these two guys!
by DeanCorleone on Comments
Well my Xbox 360 died on me again, out of warranty this time... so I was thinking of getting a brand new one and I decided to check on several options, since buying a new one didn't seem like a run route for my wallet. These are two options I've found, the first one is the one I've ordered and reviewed, the second a buddy of mine tried once his went out several months prior at which he had a ok, but not good review for. The reason behind him ordering his eBook is because its instant and got him back online pretty much that night, rather then sending his unit out and waiting for get it back.
The one I've tried - Xbox360 Redlight Fix.com at which I was very happy with. This product was highly detailed and I didn't stumble across any odd questions I thought I would have along the way. I recommend this to all my buds that send me that sad, sad red ring msg. My xbox even ran what seemed to be abit smoother then it had been also, and its not really adding any illegal mods. So if you guys are like me, out of your warranty, and without entertainment - check them out seriously.
Heres the second place that my bud tried he didn't have alot to say about them, but like I said his purchase was a eBook at which he got instant access to along with videos to help repair his problems. Buddy tried 3 Red Light Fix Repair GuideI felt my purcahse was te better way to go since it came with additional items as well.
I love te 360 but man I hate the red ring so I figured I would try to help some of you guys out also. This is the second time I've encountered it - but it feels good to not have to be a damn victum to this crap any more, the product I tried is pimp.
Thanks for reading guys catch ya around.
PS3 or 360?
by DeanCorleone on Comments
Abit tired of seeing the console wars. PS3 Vs. 360 is retarded, they both have their ups and downs. I am not brand loyal- I had a PS2, skiped the Xbox entirely, and now have a 360. I've played a number of PS3s and think they are decent, since the Blu-ray is included and all... but I'm a gamer... I only have a 1080i T.V. so Blu-ray really wouldn't appeal to me alot. I expected more from Sony, and they lied about a number of things... Remember to forget who made which console and forget about the PAST of these consoles, look at only the ups and downs of them and come to a final opinion - not because you've heard things from other people, or because you loved MGS or GoW on PS2... They have to hire translators to just get started with these PS3 games now...
Besides - they keep pushing back the Rainbox six vegas release date on PS3 back over and over again - it was pushed back MANY times before being released. Before you think about how PS3 has HDMI - look into it and make sure you'll even benefit from the added feature of HDMI... I know I wouldn't and I'm not buying another HDTV. I hate to see fan wars on these consoles, both are powerful machines, but Microsoft seems to be the more supported company. Trust me, I could afford a PS3 if I wanted... and I DON'T want one, not anyways yet.
