1) Kirby: As you can probably see from my avatar, my favorite character is Kirby. He has been since the 64 days, and was the first character i ever played in a Smash Bros. game and I am sticking to him to the end (if that ever comes). Kirby has an amazing aerial game now, and his attacks and mindgames allow him to get in frequent and unexpected attacks. He was overall balanced out from his crappy Melee form, and all of his attacks were either buffed or changed for the better. His Stone attack is much faster, allowing for quick strong attacks followed immediately by a B-air or F-air or even his new and improved Side-B, which can KO at lower percents.

2) Zelda: I never played Zelda in Melee, so i was very unfamiliar with her attacks when I got Brawl. However, her attacks, I have heard, are much more effective than in Melee. Her U-smash is an amazingly fast and strong attack out of a dash followed by either a Neutral-B or U-air. She is amazing at juggling, and her Side-B attack is an awesome projectile. Her N-air is great for hitting multiple foes, and her Down Smash has suprisingly good knockback, and hits on both sides of her body, even if there is not a large range. Her tilts are great as well. Her Up-B is a great attack if used toward the ground, or for moving around the battlefield, as long as you make sure not to move into the air, because it leaves you unable to attack. Grabs I find are slow, but her strength in attacks more than make up for it.

3) Lucas: I always liked Ness in Melee and 64, but now that Lucas is in Brawl, I have switched over to him. Though lacking an effective Neutral-B, Lucas has multiple strong low percent KOing moves. Especially his U-smash, though slow, can be very effective after knocking the opponent down. His aerial game is awesome, and the explosive properties of PK Fire make it a great projectile. Lucas is very annoying as a spammer, because his PK Thunder ability reaches very far, but his attacks, especially B-air, take skill to use, since it can be used as a Meteor Smash. Lucas' D-air is a great damage builder, and can be used for movement across a stage, in the air, or just above the ground. PK Fire has the best wavelanding potential of any side-B in the game, and gives Lucas a great advantage. Lucas' floaty characteristics give him the ability to seemingly float over the entire stage, much like Squirtle and Jiggs in Melee.

4) Olimar or Squirtle: I really have nothing to say about these two, since i only use them on rare occasions, I like both and they have strong dodging and attacking capabilities.

This is a list of all of the characters i will be trying out in brawl, including the ones i feel are interesting, along with some veterans that i want to see their changes. I will also include an explanation of why i want to try those characters and why I dont want to play hte ones not listed.

Characters I want to Play

Kirby: My main character (of course I'm going to play him)

Meta Knight: Overall my kind of character from what I can see. He has fast, but weak moves in order to chase people off the stage and be able to make a full recovery. And, well, hes just plain cool!

King Dedede: Another Kirby character, and frankly the only heavy character that sparks my interest. He seems to have a plethora of moves and a unique fighting ability for a heavier character.

Pit: Yeah, I've heard he's weak, but he has a new kind of moveset that seems simliar to that of MK. He uses a variety of weak attacks, to get people off of the stage, and come on, that Bow/Daggers/Sword is just sweet!

Pokemon Trainer: All three of the pokemon interest me, but the one i like the most is probably Squirtle. He is a very dodgy and quick character that fits my idea of someone good. Ivysaur also seems good, and that Bullet Seed is just amazing looking. Charizard, well, hes a dragon, and that is wicked cool! Also, he seems like a fast heavy character that is also clearly very strong.

Diddy Kong: From what I have seen in videos, Diddy could very well be one of the best characters in the game. He has great projectiles and attacks, and seems to be able to get people off of the stage fairly easily.

Lucas: I know people have been saying that is not THAT great of a character, but I always loved Ness in Melee, so i figure, why not at least give him a shot?

Sonic: Who wouldn't want to try the newest fastest character in the game? I have heard recently that is not an awesome character, but, come one, its SONIC! If not just for his unique moveset.

Pikimin & Olimar: When I first saw that Olimar was in i was like OMG, NO WAY! THIS SUCKS! WE WASTED A SPOT ON HIM!?!?! But after watching his videos and analyzing his abilities I LOVE Olimar. He can rack up the damage like no other, and, despite his recovery failings, seems like he could take a top tier spot.

Pikachu: Loved this little mouse from 64 days, his quick, sleek attacks really appeal to my taste, and I use him as a secondary to Kirby.

Mario and Samus/Zamus: Both(all three if you count Zamus) of these characters are the same for me, they are nice characters, and I like to use them, but Im just not that good at it.

Lucario: I loved playing Mewtwo for fun in Melee, and I hope Lucario is just as fun as him. His Aura really intrigues me and I want to experiment with it.

ROB: Though i was originally not liking him, i have watched videos of him in action and have changed my tune toward him. He has a unique fighting ability that i like.

Link: An original character that, even though i cant play well, I still enjoy playing when I am just playing casually

Zelda: Though i didnt play her (or Shiek) in melee, I have seen that she has been buffed enough to spark my interest in her.

Snake: Come on! Who wouldnt want to play as a badass like Snake!?!?!

Characters I will Not Play

Wario: His moveset just doesnt appeal to me. Plain and Simple.

Ike/Marth: I have never liked the Fire Emblem characters because of the fact that they were top tier, and I really dont like characters that seem to have an unfair advantage. Plus, I just dont like the sword thing. If Sothe was a playable character, I would play him.

All of the rest are just characters I dont like because they are just not my "cup of tea." Plus, im getting bored writing this :D If you have any questions as to why that is, please post your question. Thanks,

So, with SSBB coming out in a month for me, and it being my most anticipated game, i figured i'd make my first blog about it. Id like to start off with a character list that shows which characters i am really looking forward to, and others... well... not so much. Its based on a % scale, 100% being highest and 0% being lowest. Don't worry, I will also blog my thoughts on the stages later. WARNING: CHARACTER SPOILERS INCLUDED!!!

Characters:

Mario: 75%: Who doesn't like a plumber in a red hat that shoots fireballs? Always been my favorite character to fight against, even if i dont play him.

Wario: 35%: Not really looking forward to him all that much. His move-set doesn't interest me enough for some reason, and his FS really isnt something I would enjoy using. I mean... Wario-Man??? What happened to the Atomic Fart?

Peach: 0%: Never have played Peach, never will. End of story.

Luigi: 65%: Slightly lower than Mario only because i dont always enjoy playing against him, as he kicks Kirby's behind off the stage numerous times.

Bowser: 75%: Bowser, though i dont play him is always fun as a challenge when maining as Kirby, so I'm glad to see him back.

Donkey Kong: 25%: Don't really like the DK series that much.

Diddy Kong: 0%: What's so great about shooting peanuts? Boring character in my opinion.

Fox/Falco/Wolf: 50%: Don't really like playing any of these characters, but they are sometimes nice opponents.

King Dedede: 65%: Always good to have another Kirby character in the fray, but i don't like his move-set that much.

Meta Knight: 100%: He is absolutely my favorite newcomer, and being from the Kirby series, it just makes it even better.

Kirby: 100%: My main character, and it seems he has gotten a buff and is more like his 64 counterpart. Watch out all you Sheik/Samus/Fox players, 64 Kirby is back!!!

Sonic: 85%: Seems like a great addition to the game, and i will be playing him often.

Pit: 65%: An OK character, may be better than I think, but he seems really weak for some reason.

Samus: 75%: An original character, who doesnt love a female hero in a sexy suit?

Zamus: 75%: Same as one above.

Gannondorf: 55% Not really liking him, but hes a hard one to beat, really strong attacks. Doesnt seem to have a sword this time either...

Link: 45%: Never really liked his move-set, though his FS is cool, i dont like him that much.

Toon Link: 45%: Same as Link unless he has a different move-set.

Zelda/Sheik: 50%: Never gotten the hang of either character, not happy, not mad about them.

Ness/Lucas: 90%: Both characters i love, and will always play them.

R.O.B: 10%: Stupid looking FS, seems like the G&W of Brawl...

G&W: 75%: IF he is better, this rating stands, if he is worse... well...

Pikmin & Olimar: 65%: Seems like a cool character, but I have to try him out to see if he is any good before i give him a good rating. Dont really like him as i see him on the Dojo.

Pokemon Trainer: 75%: Unique move-set so im glad they implemented him. Unlike Olimar, with his unique move-set PKT has something familiar to me about him.

Snake: 80%: Need i say anything?

Ike/Marth: 0%: I've always hated Roy and Marth, and Ike just seems like a replacement for Roy...

Captain Falcon: 0%: Never liked him, too hard to control for me, and i never liked his moves.

Lucario: 85%: Nice what seems like a replacement for Mewtwo.

Ice Climbers: 25%: Never liked the duo, never will.

Jiggs: 75%: Great character, always loved her. Hope she got a buff.
