i just got a call from mom saying that my dad is suing her...for the second time. it's a long story but my dad is a total psycho along with his new wife (we call her "the lady"). me and mom hardly talk to him and vice versa. my dads students see him more than i do.

time line:

summer 2008- mom receives a letter from the city stating that the lot she owns right next to dad's house (she lost the house in the divorce) needs to be cleaned and she gets a citation. this was followed by plenty of "calls and hangups" from the lady and being tailgated where ever we went. the lot is cleaned and things go fairly silent.

hardly saw dad during the fall semester prolly twice a month the most or lunch, but we communicated though texting.and this is because he was the student newspaper "guru" as he put and was one of the journalism teachers, but his class was cancelled due to low turnout and we still hardly saw each other.

call and hangups still occur, but less frequently.

fast-forward to two wks ago right before school. it was a saturday and all my dad was call and txt me threating msgs all day about bringing my bed up to the apt with a rented truck. my mom told him not to bring the lady since she loves to fight and will most likely cause a stink outside of the apts.

mother calls school police and asks for a police escort just in case the lady decides to start something. me, mom, and 2 cops are standing outside of the apt for about 30 mins waiting for dad and lady since they have the bed and my desk. dad and lady were there before, but left for some reason. one of the cops asks mom to stay in the car while me and dad unload stuff from the car. same instructions to the lady.

a smooth 15 mins and call goes silent.

fastforward to today:

dad hardly calls/txt. mom calls up to 5 times a day.

i get a phone call tonite from mom from the landline (we never use it since it's connected to the dsl) stating that two constables came to her work to give her a court summon. shes freaking out in the summon it claims "verbal harassment," "mental distress" and some other things.

shes says she doesnt understand why shes getting a court summon since she claims to never talk to him.

i dont understand why either. he was silent for a whole wk then today i get a pic txt of a random dog belonging to the lady's daughter. he has a whole new life now and we've moved on, so whts the problem?

i hardly know the lady, hardly talk to dad, so this revelation is a total surprise. i'm tired and stressed from a long wk, then this.

i might have to go home tomorrow. i'm dreading a 4 hour car drive and plus i have homework and a dirty apt. but those things are going to have to wait.
