ART:

This is the work i specificly made for the student art show. the finishing touchs alone took 5 hours. 5 freaking hours in one day to correct, add color, remove, touch up, etc in one day. not to mention the 2 weeks before that working on the "rough draft." looking at pics after pics on the google search engine, editing photos to add to mine, filters, color changes, no eating just to finish project, all this work adds up to atleast 50 layers. yes..a very big file that took atleast 10 mins to save. i went over and over project many times making sure it was perfect. thought i heard some gasps when the digital art teach was presenting it to the class. some dumb lady said it was "an awful movie poster" o.0 excuse me..."secrect garden" IS NOT a movie poster. the work repersents scenery/backround, not a movie, just a poster or a pic. a person looking through a gate or wall and seeing nature. not intended to repersent a movie at all! she was a 1st time user of photoshop and prolly has no idea how to even use the program any more. her project wasent that great and i should have told her off after class was over or maybe tailgated her while driving up the overpass.

then there's lil tey'lin who made it to the show. an entire month [mon-wed] crazy working on that teradactlye wearing a trench coat & boots. which included doing the head 3 times, redrawing the arms 3 or 4 times then sawing a new set of arms a few more times, redoing the boots many times, 2 or 3 mid sections, sodering the body together, etching the piece, a spin in the tumbler, adding some black stuff to it, sanding, sanding, sanding, filing and more filing to lil criter. the teach said tey'lin "has a really nice finish" and now that insane work paid off. all of this was done by sawing sheets of metal. if u mess up, tobad start again. drawing is only the beginning. we draw our projects on drawing paper, the teach approves/gives suggestions, then the final approval is ready for the metal. now, i cannot tell you the secect of getting the drawing on the metal. ;) most of what i'm telling you is the "short version" but sawing through brass is hard work. i cut my fingers plenty of times while sawing, and since i have indoor allergies, the skin rashes from diffrent dusts were unbareable. you have to be on your toes in that class. plenty of sharp objects and tools that someone could badly injure themselves with. becarefull w/fire. ;) the teach was my guide and i dont how i would have managed w/o his help. if u excuse me now, my new project requires attention.
