Hey teebeenz if this info is so old why dont you share with us some of the info you know.......because apperantly some ppl didn't know, and some dont believe me.
Lets just say I know a friend who knows a friend, but Sony is definitely working on a Wiimote like controller for the PS3, an early prototype they are working on looks like the the Wii's nunchuck attachment controller, the one with the anolog stick on top, only Sony's is longer and is more like a rod, and where the analog stick is located, Sony's will have its four x,o,Triangle, square buttons and not really sure but it looked like it had an additional button on the side as well, it didn't have any cords hanging from it so im guessing its going to be wireless, and most likely motion sensitive. What will they use this for? don't know. Why do I share this with the world???? I just want to rain on their parade, and also why do companies always have to be so secretive about everything? You might not believe me now but just keep this in mind so that when they introduce it, it will be yesterdays news. buahahaha.
i also got the RROD on my launch console, but last mont I got me An Elite, I can personally tell you that it does feel like it runs cooler, and Im perfectly happy wit it. if it ever does mess up they will install the new falcon board when it comes out, its not like yull be stuck with the same falty board forever. So in conclusion GO BUY THE DAMN THING MAN WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR YOU HAVE 3 YEARS WARRANTY AND HALO IS AROUND THE CORNER. *clears troat* sorry.
And............Not all the stores have the newer 360s with the HDMI, but I did read in aCircuit City ad that they were guarantying ppl that they have the newer 360s in stock. And.......... the newer 360s though they dont have the Newer Falcon boards, have been improved on by taking the existing falty boards and adding a second heatsink to it as well as "pipes" to dirrect some of the heat elsewhere. And..... well thats bout it...
As for the newer Falcon Motherboards with the smaller processors, they are not out yet, im hearing sometime this fall, The price drop was just something they did because it was time and to get ready for Madden, Bioshock and Halo. When the FALCON board does come out, it wont necessarily mean that the 360 is going to receive another price drop, Also when the board is released it wont be made public.
Ill give you the right advice on this dude, im an expert when it comes to 360s and its hardware. first off the only way to tell if your 360 is a newer one is to look at the front of the box, onthe top left, where it tells youwhats inside. it willlist things like 20GB hard drive, head set, wireless controller, LOOK for "HDMI AV Cable"if the premium states this than its a newer console.
