You're like my friend. Except she was probably shorter and weighed less. She could bench near the 200s. But she is fit as hell. If you punched her in the stomach, you'd break your hand due to her abs of steel. lol

I myself tried weight training in freshman year.

I was 107lbs. 5'1. And I could rep around the 120lbs. Now, I'm guessing I wouldn't even be able to lift the bar. My arms don't look muscely anymore...it's more flabby-looking. =\

Yes, I have.

In retaliation, the dude punched me, smack-dab in the face. :x

My head just snapped back really hard. My nose didn't break at least. Everyone just stood there in awe.

[QUOTE="DeckedInPink"]

oh, yes. I understand. Thanks, Wushu.

I've always wanted to enroll into an outside class, but I'm just gonna try this out first...to get an idea if I really want to do it. :D

If so, then it's off to years of practice.

Also, different teachers will teach different methods. Even though a lot of the same martial arts are standardized, there will by slight differences between each school.

I'll keep this in mind.

Well, I'll try my best to learn what I can get and see where this takes me.

 omg rly?!

Does contemporary physics count? People spend a lot of time running away from it.

ngwoo

blagh. Count me in as one of those people. Thankfully, I'll only have to take 3 physics classes for my BS.

z4twenny

My bro is taking bowling just for kicks.

You won't learn much in the martial arts classes in PE since it takes years and years to learn what the individual arts are really about. But it does give you a taste of what you could be learning if you decided to enroll in an actual class.

I don't have time in my schedule to take those types of classes in college. I just wake up around 6:30 and go work out at the rec center for exercise. chathuranga

oh, well. That's good. :)

I, unfortunately, have 3 hours to kill before my brother finishes his classes and picks me up, so I thought I might as well do something. It's required that we take 2 semesters of PE.

PE classes in college. So many to choose. What sports and activities did you all pick? I'm interested in knowing. :P

As for me, I'm set up to take Self-Defense and my brother wants me to do Table Tennis. (Ping Pong! lol)

I wanted to take Judo, but the class times didn't fit the schedule I drew up.

(also, any advice from those who are into these: Judo, Aikido, Karate, Taekwondo, Self-Defense, and Tai Chi. Thanks!)

My school is very nerdy.

Not the smart-kind of nerdy, though. More like...nerdy-nerdy. :o
