[QUOTE="Shattered007"][QUOTE="BioShockOwnz"]

Very nice bullshots.

Rikusaki

No no BioShockOwnz, this in-game! And there is no way it will not look like that when you play it...Not like forza 3 which is just Forza 2!

It's in-engine + supersampling... basically just like the "bullshots" of FM3.

Wrong, GT uses the same 200k poly models that will be used in-game. only GT's bullshots consist of the usual touch-ups that all developers put out, as in non gameplay angles, increased ant-aliasing etc. Turn 10 on the other hand have taken bullshots to a whole new level, the car models included in FM3 bullshots are not of in-game but showroom and consist of around 400k polys (compared to ingame models which are subtantially lower poly counts, less than half) that will not run in-game and only in photomode, thats the difference.

[QUOTE="navyguy21"] see, that comment right there, how do you know that 360 isnt capable?? And dont give me that "we wouldve seen it by now" because its purely up to the dev, and up until this point, most first party games (the few that MS has) has been on multiplat engines............engines that are not built for the system, whereas Sony has way more first party devs, who build engines for it because multiplat engines are not built to allow the PS3 to stretch its legs. So simply saying "it hasnt shown it yet" is a bit narrow minded when you consider all the elements here. Neither of us (or 99% of this community) knows the full capabilities of each system, all i can go on is my experience with software, and hardware systems (PC based) and tell you that as far as GAME development goes, they are about equal, and as far as raw power (crunching numbers) then the PS3 is superior, but game development is not like simple data processing at all. How are you so confident that the 360 is inferior?? Have you developed a game on both?

Rza_rectah

Rare, Lionhead and Turn 10, do they not all use inhouse custom engines? Surely they don't build their games on UE3, such as BK:N&B, Fable 2 and Forza 3 do they???

[QUOTE="navyguy21"] now show me a thread where lemmings say a game cant be done on another system..............or hyping a game SPECIFICALLY because of graphics..............or hyping the systems graphical output capabilities......................why do you think those screenshots are/were being posted?? If it werent for cows shouting graphical superiority, then it would not happen. Same thing happend last gen with the PS2 when xbox fanboys were bombarding with the graphics arguments.navyguy21

Two of your points are due to the fact lems know that the 360 isn't capabable of producing better graphics than the PS3, and I feel the one game hyped by lems for no other reason than graphics would be Alan Wake.

i just dont get the hate of either game, also dont get how anyone believes the obviously doctored pics on here. FM3 looks great, regardless of the old-build demo. GT5 will look great when it comes out. If one can say "GT5 damage will be better when released", then one could equally argue that "FM3 will look better than the old demo" Dont give me that "well the game has gone gold" crap because T10 has said that the demo was an older build, and the gameplay that has been shown recently was the final build, so each argument is valid. Why cant people grow up and stop these childish games? Do you guys (fanboys) think fanboyism is cool?? You think its funny?? Or do you genuinely believe the crap that you post??navyguy21

Why do you keep repeating that??? Its been mentioned several times through these comparison threads that the demo is representative of the final build by Che "Turn 10 Community Manager", which has been quoted several times now and I'll Quote it too.

"The demo is visually representative of the full-game so racing in-game won't look much different" - Che

http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/forums/permalink/2975508/2980391/ShowThread.aspx#2980391

and if you don't believe me check out the link for yourself.

So there you have it, a community manager is going to hype his game not downplay it, therefore that is how the final game will look, it's your own fault if you believed those cars in the bullshots were gameplay models and raised your expectations too high.

[QUOTE="The_Game21x"]

mm hmm.

And neither is GT5. :wink:

The_Game21x

So we're basing GT5's resolution off of Prologue?

Yeah. To my knowledge, graphics engines are usually one of the first things finished during game development and, if necessary, are polished from there as development continues. I'm not going to say GT5 isn't going to be an improvement over GT5: Prologue visually but I'm not expecting huge differences either. And yes, a bump up to native 1080p would be pretty huge in this case.

GOW3 currently runs at 720p, but the retail version will run at 1080p
