Well, this is a shame. I just got my One a few days ago and all the games I own so far aren't really new (BF4, Forza, AC4, TR:DE) I was thinking of getting this for something new. Never played the past Thief games. I guess Titanfall will be the first original IP I play on the One. Maybe Ryse if it gets a wee bit cheaper.
May still try this one down the road, but as a rental or at a reduced price.
This guy... he needs to stop making statements like this. His "meh" comment was more than enough. I can safely say, as a consumer, Nintendo products are nowhere on my radar. And that's not even fanboyism for Sony or Microsoft talking, but genuine disinterest in their product.
We had a Wii and it went largely unused for 8 months before we sold it, as there was just no software we wanted for it. WiiU, frankly, I have no desire to hold a tablet and look back and forth between two screens. I have a 57" tv. It's all the screen I need.
Nintendo's last great console was the GameCube. Not because of hardware specs, graphics, or whatever else. It was excellent 3rd party support. Developers made fantastic games that ran and felt great on the GC.
I appreciate that Nintendo wants to provide a unique, one of a kind gaming experience (starting back with the original Wii) but there's only so many innovative things developers can do with, say, motion controls. Or in this case, a second screen. Call me old fashioned but a TV screen and traditional controller are all I need or want for that matter.
I haven't played WoW since Burning Crusade. If it became F2P I'd almost certainly jump back in, because I've always been curious of the changes that were made to the zones I fondly remember in Cataclysm.
This looks like a fun game and a neat concept, I just can't justify spending so much money on a single title. The additional toys and such are currently priced a bit more than I'm willing to spend.
@Tixylixx I agree to an extent. Gameplay in the first Witcher game was a bit confusing. I wouldn't say "hard" so much as "clunky". Witcher 2 was much better, and pretty refined. Whatever direction they decide to go, I really believe they can only improve. Really looking forward to this game!
This is kind of silly considering Steam has regular sales allowing users to buy games for stupidly low prices. That's the trade off. Get a triple-A title for like $2.33 and that's it... no refunds, trades, etc.
