Back in my youth (I'm 36), I loved Streetfighter. The console debut on Snes, was stupendous.. I remember paying 60 quid for the extra large 40 meg cart on the Megadrive for Super Streetfighter 2, I even went and got my Saturn fitted with a 60hz switch etc so I could buy SF Zero 2 on import, but nowadays I just don't care.
The constant recycling and the lack of ideas. The money grabbing with dlc costumes, the inability to attract new players, due in part to the steep online learning curve and the death of character A.I., which is now either cheap or overpowered, have all combined to make me cringe everytime I hear "another" fighter is coming from Capcom.
Surely its time to move on and leave this series with one last hurrah, an ultimate version with every character.. yes it may well be imperfect, it may well be somewhat unbalanced, but at least you will be giving your army of long term fans the final chapter they deserve... Not just more recycling of old material with a few bits tacked on... It just feels like another in a long line of Capcom pisstakes until the release of the extra special HD versions on PS4, XBox 720 and Wii U.
Funny, most SF players hate spamming, yet its Capcom themselves who are the worst culprits...
It makes me laugh how a website that promotes gaming is trying to get everyone to kick off over a bit of shading on a tree leaf or a fence or background detail. This takes me back to my school days when everyone argued the toss over the Spectrum vs C64. I do wonder one thing however, in a action packed FPS, when ya dodging bullets, grenades and other means of removing your virtual life, do you actually have the time to go "OMG this tree isn't shaded as good as the (insert medium) version" No! because when ya do that ya dead... So there is no point to this micro comparison. I just hope everyone checks their testicles for abnormalities as closely as they check these pics. A very tired "of all this mine is better than yours crap" gamer
