Played a few games on 5 1/4 inch floppy disks, but I can't remember the titles.
TF2, BF:BC2, Just Cause 2, and Rome: TW
The Medic kit is good, but it is based on teamwork. You will be at the top of your team if you are constantly throwing health packs, reviving people, and spotting enemies. A good tip is when you revive someone, make sure you are not reviving them directly in front of an enemy. The best thing to do is throw down a med pack, revive, then lay down fire while your teammate gets his bearings. Also, join a squad and stay with them, as you will get MORE points reviving and healing them than people NOT in your squad. However, keep an eye out for people nearby who need health, indicated by the blinking + on their name/health bar. BC2 has a much steeper learning curve than other multiplayer FPS. However, once you get better with a kit, and your role on a team/squad, the game becomes much more enjoyable.
...Spawning on a teammate is good, but check what your teammate is doing at that moment, and where he is on the battlefield. As a medic, you want to be at the front, keeping people alive. If your teammate is back at the spawn sniping, than there is no point spawning on him.
My desktop.
I can't argue with Amnesia, but I found playing Dead Space...in the middle of the night...with surround sound headphones...kept me on edge most of the game.
I agree with what people have said about retailers scrambling, hopelessly I might add, to save a market they neglected for too long. I've enjoyed Steam since it opened, and while people are frustrated with the "online for activation" aspect of it, consider the alternative: EA, Ubisoft, etc. I'd rather have to be online to "activate" a game than ALWAYS be online to play it, or have a limited number of installs. Valve isn't stupid, and, yes, they have games with further DRM on Steam, but I doubt they sell well, if at all. Steam is here to stay, and if other retailers can not match the sales or "ease-of-use" of Steam, then they pay for it. You live by the market, you die by the market. If retailers make money in the gaming market, then lose money when something better comes along, I guess we should bail them out as well? ;)
Great game, but I can only play a game or two online before the bugs frustrate me too much. I enjoyed the campaign quite a bit though...except it seemed to drag a big towards the end.
Inside the game, in front of the manual, there should be an insert with the code for the levels. When I entered mine, I received the levels as well as the Officer multiplayer skin, so try that, and you should get it.
I'm having the same problems, so I think the matchmaking system simply stinks at the moment. The best way to get in a game is to keep trying the "Play Now" or similar option.
