I really liked Crysis 2, but the cloaking in multiplayer ruined it for me. Totally encourages camping which made it worse than COD campers at times. It's too bad because this game has (in my opinion) potential to be one of the best FPS multiplayer experiences out there.
You know, having been really annoyed by the "invisible" web grappling while swinging, I have to give this game a lot of credit for how good it looks going from the large scale to the smaller scale. I really thought things would look fairly choppy once Spidey landed but it looked amazing. I could learn to ignore the swinging thing:-)
@nexus Good question. Seems like they just added a dumbed-down mechanic and hoped no one would really notice that. Notice when he goes through a park around 1:41, his webs seem to grab something that definitely wasn't there. Lame. Someone should find a really open area of the map and just swing through on nothing. Pretty poor design choice in my opinion.
Say what you want about art, but sales are the reason games are made. Ultimately, they're going to try to appeal to the widest audience. Don't confuse the business side with the artistic side because the business side will always win in a toss-up. It's just the way it is.
@Draco416 Good point. I agree but I think MW3 and the feedback it got have made a huge impression on the dev's. So many people shared their dislike for it that I have to think they're going to change things up. Otherwise, yeah, COD will sink like a rock.
