thx for all your quick support , so i presume by having 2 gb ram will make things better and its not my card issue , at present i cannt afford to have new cpu so gonna stick with my q6600 until i suck every bit of it by overclock:D

still curious to know is there any way you can test if ur card is working fine apart from rating fps and lags?

Hi,

I bought gtx560nonti ZT-50708-10M yesterday with new corsair cx-500 psu, and not sure it really delivers full power.Tested BF3 in 1920 res , got around 39-60 fps and 30-60 with ambient-HBAD (full quaility), i felt little lag though, but it was ok(seems like it is badly optimsed), then i switched to AC-Relevations hoping to get steady 60 but i was not even touching 40 even at 1440 res:|, (all was done with fraps in back ground with no record).I am having a quite old rig , so i suspect its bottle-necking my new card , or card is faulty ? Not sure please help..Below is the rig( i over clocked cpu to 3.0 now and did nt felt any noticable diff)

Q6600(2.4 GHZ),2 GB DDR2-Zeon, 680 LT sli mobo.....

i know 7770 use less power and require only 1- 6 pin, but 560non ti outperforms it by good margin, so i am gonna stick with 560 non ti, r u sure it really work smooth on 400w. which brand u got!

so the gigabyte powerrock 550w wll be enough for me right?:)

[QUOTE="lightleggy"]fraps sucks for recording game videos...fraps is a framerate killer, sometimes you'll experience 45 fps dropsOndoval

FRAPS barely has an impact in framerrate if you just take screenshots or use the fps score. What affects greatly your framerrate is recording video. In order to reduce such impact the best option is to run the recording at half size, which means 1/2 wide and 1/2 = 1/4 of the mative resolution (in my 2560 x 1440 display this still means recordimg at 1280 x 720 with almost no compresion). Recording usually makes you to loss 1/3 of your average framerrate, but is still WAY BETTER than the Xfire recorder. I love FRAPS, it cost me around 26 € and was some of the best money I did spent in gaming.

I disagree with u, i also tried it with out recording , the frame rate was dropping from 70 to 29 even in 1024 resoultion in crysis 2, i thing it lot depends on the rig u got, mine is an old one with 9600 gt, 4gb ram, q6600 , 680 sli so may be an upgrade will do, not sure cause many had faced the same issue with crysis 2,.

old post :) just tested crysis 2 with fraps running in back ground and it does kills the frame rate even when u not recording , it really needes more cpu load which lags the game badly, Crysis 2 start with fps 60-70 and it drops drastically to 25-30 , but when i tried the game with out fraps there were no single drop of frame rate i felt and game was so smooth, so end results running fraps will affect frame rate in the case of crysis -2

Hmm, so at the end 6850 wins, normally people says ATI card works fine and perfect for AMD and nvidea for intel , is there any truth in that, cause i got q6600 and xfx 680 sli board so.... one more doubt , me and greg are barely or unable to play crysis 2 in our 9600 gt even at low res, so if we swtiched to 6850 wat will be the optimum res we can enjoy games like crysis -2, upcoming games bad company -3 and ghost warrior considering the fact that we got mother board that supports ddr-2,800 mhz ram?

Hey , Just saw some game play videos with gtx 460 . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lXC8XrzpaU&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zTjZg4b1FM&feature=related its looks awesome. Now i am also planning to grab that baby :), but price is the only factor.GTX 460 has one 768 MB version too, and many experts says excluding some clock speed drop there is not much diff where 2 cards gives u almost same results with diff price tag .Is it true, if thats the case i thing i wll go for 768 version.
