Hi guys, been a while since I used this site but was wondering if anyone had some vivillions they'd be willing to trade me. Been playing the GTS game for a while now and man they go fast!

I am currently seeking: Savannah, Tundra, Sun, Icy Snow, Sandstorm, Jungle, Monsoon, Archipelago and Ocean.

I can mostly just offer the Garden pattern, as it is my local one, but I do also have one spare Continental, Polar, and Elegant. If anyone can help out it would be massively appreciated, my friend code is 3394-3736-9738. I will definitely be online for the next few hours, but am online quite regularly so don't worry too much if you miss me :)

[QUOTE="k2theswiss"]^^^ plugged the usp cable in the back and unpluged any other usp cables(controllers ipod etc)? i really don't know. i just one like 2 weeks ago 20 to a 60gb and works good for me. it also said some file was currpted but whne i went to look all my stuff i use was on there

Yep, I followed the instructions to the letter. Nothing plugged into any of the USB ports other than the new hard drive which was plugged into the rear USB port. There was no reason for anything to go wrong... or at least none that I can see...

Yeah I had everything connected as instructed by the manual - the smaller HD on the xbox and the 250GB on the end of the transfer cable. It was left in a room by itself while the transfer took place as well, so there's nothing that could have interrupted it (as a very unhelpful email from MS suggested...)

Hi guys I'm at a bit of a loss at the moment, so I thought I'd post here in case anyone had ever come across a similar problem (and hopefully solution) to the one I'm having...

Basically I bought one of the new FFXIII super elites (250Gb hard drive) today because I wanted the game and my old 20Gb was full to bursting with DLC and arcade games. I then proceded to use a data transfer cable to take the data off of my old HD and put it onto the new one. This went ahead as normal, and after roughly 1 hour the transfer was complete and I got a message to inform me of this. It did mention something about a few files being corrupt, but apparently this is perfectly normal and is usually caused by leftover files from downloaded demos, etc. What was not normal, however, was what happened when I attached my new 250 Gb HD to the xbox... I was changing some of my settings when I noticed that my HD said '130Gb free.' This obviously isn't right, as this means that something is taking up 120Gb of my HD space, and considering my old HD had only been 20Gb this didn't make any sense. So I went for a look in the 'memory manager' section and discovered to my horror that it was saying that there was no data on the drive at all! No arcade games, no avatar items, and most importantly no game saves. So this mystery 120Gb piece of data is completely inaccessible to me. (You can imagine roughly how I felt at this point - I had game saves that I had invested hundreds of hours into)

Now before anyone suggests simply going back to my old 20Gb HD and trying to transfer everything again - the software that performs the transfer erases all data off the old drive when the transfer is complete. So that drive will essentially be blank now.

If anyone has any ideas as to how I can get my data back, then please, please post it here- losing all my data is my absolute worst nightmare...

As a female gamer, I found that people didn't take me seriously as a gamer until I had at least 10K gamerpoints. I now have nearly 20K, which is roughly the same as, or higher than, many of the guys that I'm friends with. I love boosting my gamerscore just to get bragging rights over them :D

While I mainly only play games that I like, I will occassionally play a rubbish game (e.g. Lost, Avatar) purely to get achievements

I have heard quite a few rumours recently that MS are dropping the 3-year extended warranty (the one that covers E74 and RROD), can anyone confirm this? I have checked the official site and can't find anything, but I doubt they'd want to broadcast it if they were - I expect it would damage sales quite badly. I'm hoping it's just one of those stupid internet rumours that gets started by some idiot then everyone assumes that it is completely true...

Fingers crossed it's all a load of rubbish!

Well I think that's kind of obvious... how would you do all of the voice/facial recognition and movement-based bits without it?

I also have a question about Natal though so I'll take over this topic instead of starting a new one :P I was just wondering if anyone with any sort of experience with facial recognition knew how much of a difference wearing glasses would make? I vary between wearing glasses and contact lenses, so I worry that Natal would struggle to recognise me when I changed between the two. Does anyone have a rough idea of how big a problem (if at all) this would be?

Yea I agree with most of the points in this article, we do need more control over the customisation of our unions. But I would really like the leveling system brought back, I see it as a reward for running an active union. Yes there will be people who abuse the system, but this happens in everything, and by removing the leveling system you're letting them win... :(
