Lmao, denying an amazing unique game while you probably enjoy archaic trash like Halo 3 or Super Mario Galaxy.
That's why it has the second highest ratings ever. Your stalker is AA, and couldn't touch a true AAA like Galaxy or Halo 3. :roll:The sad thing is you've probably never played STALKER or even have a computer that could play it. Even sadder is that you actually have no problem playing the same shovelware rehashes that Nintendo keeps forcing down your throat, maybe one day they'll make a new franchise and stop milking Mario/Zelda/Metroid. Halo 3 on the other hand is a joke of an FPS, another 6 hour Gears of War single player and a multiplayer filled with children and doesn't even change much of anything from Halo 2 other than the fact that it's actually worse.
Yeah, real shovelware alright.:roll:I gotta stop arguing with morons.
So, Stalker, GOTY!
Lmao, sheep in denial.
[QUOTE="DisturbedMind"][QUOTE="MetroidPrimePwn"]S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is an amazing game (third best PC Game of the year, IMO), but CNETclearly didn't like it enough for it to get GOTY.MetroidPrimePwn
Corrected. What'd else did you like? HL2:EP2 owned as well =)
I thought that World in Conflict was the best PC Game of the year, with Crysis close behind it,while S.T.A.L.K.E.R and The Witcher occupy my third spot. And, if you count expansion packs, I really liked Half-Life 2: Episode 2, Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword, and Flight Simulator X: Acceleration. Other games I liked but wouldn't really consider my favorites are Silent Hunter IV: Wolves of the Pacific, and Unreal Tournament 3 (although it was disappointing and pails in comparison to the other Unreal Tournaments)
I'll definitely have to put some more time into World in Conflict soon :]

You can substitute "Gamespot" with "The vast majority of review sites."
The game barely maintains AA at GR. Even IGN and 1up rated it lower.
So, why then, did GS give Crysis a 95?
No, you're right, every review site that rates games from all platforms can't possibly review PC games correctly. Their low marks from Stalker can't possibly make sense. Even though PC only publications gave it similar scores it can't possibly mean.... no, no you're right.
Stalker - GOTY. I AM CONVINCED!
Crysis can practically be considered Far Cry 2.0(also known as generic staple shooter with horrible plotline) and we all know anything a horrible story and amazing graphics will get GameSpot's seal of approval *cough* Gears of War *cough*

Not only is it not getting GOTY here, it's not getting GOTY anywhere else.
Going off of GameRankings for a sleeper hit like STALKER is just plain dense. Theres so many horrible reviewers that impact GameRankings that it scares me. For example, the popular GameTrailers actually rated STALKER down because they couldn't run it well on their 8600GT and because the game was "too hard" LMAO, what a joke. Not to mention the game had been in development for many many years and eventually forced onto the market and the retail version was extremely buggy(who knows if reviewers even got retail).
