AKG K240(especially these inexpensive gems), Shure 840s, Audio Technica M50, and Senn HD25-II should be mandatory recommendations in my opinion Open and closed sections would be very nice, as well
So these speakers are the 201 series IV. Total speaker noob here: I hooked them up to my Sony 240w receiver and was just wondering if I should go about upgrading it for the sake of these speakers or not.

I upgraded from my AT ES7 to Shure 530s and I had no idea what sound signature was all about when I did so and it took me a long time to see how many things the 530s did better than the ES7s, but I also learned that the ES7 did quite a few things damn well for half the price
