@killswitch88 PC's also have their way of limiting games; one being, by limiting who can play them in the 1st place. What's the point of having this huge, high-end graphics game, if you need a Bat-Cave computer to run it?
Trying to get your friends to buy or build a gaming PC is a challenge. Why have them do that, when they can grab an Xbox or PS3 and play with you, within minutes of purchasing--right out of the box? These conversations can go on and on and I'm won't go back and forth. It's easier to sit and type narrow-minded PC snobbery, than to think objectively. All of the platforms clearly have their positives and negatives.
I own Xbox 360, PS3 and a gaming PC, which I built myself. Even though I have the PC, I'd probably get it [Destiny] for Xbox, because that's where my real life friends are. They do not build gaming PC's, nor have the time--or maybe even the budget--to invest in one. These are grown men and women that want to come home from work, play for a few hours, and go back to work the next day. I think I just described the majority and not the minority, which would be you, and the 3 people that were able to play Crysis 1 on high settings.
The reviews for this game are eating my soul. Aliens came out in 1986, man. Almost 30 years later...still not one good video game for this franchise. Am I even going to be alive once someone gets this right? As far as video games go, this is beyond tragic.
