Hey, Listen! I'd wanna start off my weekly blog on this site with explaining the blog itself. 'Hey Listen!' Is a weekly Friday blog on videogames, mostly videogame news and Top 5s, in a Screwattack.com-esque nature. I'll solely write coloumns and articles about what I think of videogames and what's going on in videogame culture, both new stuff and old stuff. I'll also write lists and opinions about videogames from me. So I'll write an example right here. 'HEY LISTEN! Friday, 8:13; 1:55AM Eastern Pacific Time Hey guys! It's another Friday, meaning another Hey Listen! Today I'll write a Top 5 list and then write the weekly article. Starting with the Top 5.... TOP 5 FOR TODAY! The Top 5 Videogame Controllers of All Time Controllers have come a long way, just as long as videogames-obviously. But I will compile the best videogame controllers ever, since the crappy Ataris to nowaday consoles. Does your fave get on the list? Please note PC doesn't count as it's obviously the best. NUMBER 5 NES Controller Ah, the old days. The NES controller came in pairs-that's right little Jimmy, 20 years ago videogame developers didn't charge us an extra day's worth money of our lives just to be able to play with friends-of two, which is enough reason to put it on the list. But it also was very simplistic: who needs LS, RS, A,B,X,Y, LB,RB, LT, RT, Start and Select when you can have the most fun with A and B only? It was comfortable, it worked, it was cheap, and simplistic. NUMBER 4 NES Zapper Duck Hunt. Period. Who remembers just grabbing that pistol and blasting away at those damn ducks (and that damn dog, too)? Comfortably resistant, fairly long cord, extreme fun. NUMBER 3 Wiimote Wanna play NES? Turn it sideways. Wanna play shooters? Professionally aim at the screen. With a unique Nunchuk and Wiimote system, the Wii's controller is extremely functional and hand-made comfortable. NUMBER 2 Gamecube Controller In theory, yes, it looks ugly. Yes, the triggers are too deep. Yes, 'Z' is only on one side. Yes, the D-Pad is annoying. Yes, the buttons are squeaky. But in motion, you shut up. Comfortable grasps, wonderful button placement, perfect analog resistance. AND IT'S..... NUMBER 1: Xbox 360 controller What a fluke, but an amazing one too! Microsoft took it's hamburger and made it sexily comfortable: Perfect inward dome analogs, perfect resistance, perfect button placement, perfect grasp comfortability, perfect triggers, and just plain easy to play with.
