In case anyone didn't know:

You can get the download version of Contra 3: Alien Wars on Wii; they also have Super C.

I'm playing both. Super C seems just like the original.

For the DS there is Contra 4. The Konami Classics Series Arcade Hits also has the the original Contra.

I've played this a few times since I bought it....

this was actually the game that convenced me to buy a DS.... pretty cool...

I am still not sure I like the split screen gameplay though... hopefully I'll get use to it.

I loved playing Contra on NES at my friends house. I never did own the game myself.... very hard to find when I finally got a Nintendo. :P I was then hooked on Super Mario Brothers.

Ms. Pac-Man arcadeis still an awesome game.

I think my alltime favortie was TRON for the arcade.... it had the cool black light in it and had that huge joystick for controlling the light cycles and shooting colored blocks, and mechanical spiders... HEHE what fun I had!!!!

The Star Wars arcade where you did the Death Star trench run was a favorite too. Star Wars was huge at the time and that was the closest you could come to living the movie. :)

DUNE 2000 was probably my all-time favorite PC game.

The only recent game that has really been enjoyable is Diablo 2... and that's a few years old.

Has anyone made a list of what Contra games are on which consoles? I think that would be interesting to see.

And was the original Contra released on PSP or other console recently? I remember seeing something but didn't get a chance to check it out.

Haven't had the time to play any games lately... even my Diablo2 characters expired. :(

I had to at least check out the forum though.
