There was some sort of thing you could plug into your Gamecube that made it capable of online play. Unfortunately, it was only used once or twice, I think by two different Phantasy Star games. Regardless, even if you could find the now-rare games and adaptor (and possibly a keyboard attachment that was made, as well), the servers for those games have been long since shut down. So basically, it's now impossible.

If memory serves, the first Gamecube game I got was Super Mario Sunshine. Now that was a cool platformer.

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. Best Gamecube RPG ever, in my opinion. Of course, the Gamecube RPG count is up to about 4 or so, but it's still really good.

Also love Wario World. Just because.

I love being ignored.

So, which is better: Dynastic Hero or Wonder Boy?

ArtRat

Um, well...I'm not exactly familiar with Dynastic Hero, but I know that Wonder Boy was Sega's mascot for a while before Sonic. Wonder Boy had a whole series, whereas Dynastic Hero had a single game (that I've found, anyway). I would have to say Wonder Boy. Dynastic Hero looks a little more mature, though. Your choice, I suppose.

Hope that helps you out!

Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.

It's just small group of people looking to steal a bunch of money off of a hard-working company. That would be like sueing Nintendo because one of the Wiimote's buttons looked like someone else's button...oh, wait. That already happened.

It just goes to show, for every successful company out there, there's people wanting some of the profit without doing any work.

I'm sure that the judge will realize the idiocy of this situation and dismiss it without a problem.

A "Wii 2"? Where the heck did you get an idea like that? Nintendo's still making boatloads of money off the original, why would they make a new console? It's only been out for a year or so, anyway. If that were true, they would have to have started production on the "Wii 2" before the first Wii was released! Just seems kind of ridiculous to me.

[QUOTE="kingqaz"][QUOTE="PSP_DSL_ROX"] I plan to get one or two point cards to download some games and the internet (I assume that is a one time charge.)PSP_DSL_ROX

A fewVirtual Console games I would recomend are Paper Mario, F-Zero, and Star Fox (but those are just my personal favirots.) Also I wouldn't recomend buying the internet channel, I never use it since internet is much better on a computer

I don't know much about F-Zero or Star Fox, but I know I will be getting the Mario games. I've not decided on the internet, but I think for five bucks it may be fun once and a while.

I plan to get Mario Galaxy (I think it is a must) and will probably get the Wii Zapper with Link's training. PSP_DSL_ROX
Mario Galaxy is a must, especially since your entire family loves mario. As for the Wii Zapper, I heard that it's pretty bad itself but that Link's Training is pretty good. I haven't tried it myself but that's what I hear.

Darn, I thought the Zapper got pretty good reviews, compared to the other options. I guess I should look into it some more. If the game is any good, it is probably worth $20 on its own.

I'm looking for games that just about any age would enjoy, especially adults though. I want a few games that would be fun for a group, but also games that everyonecould enjoy on their own.I'm not looking for killing type games, like Manhunt or anything like that. I think a racing game would be a good idea, but other than that I don't know if more sports games are needed with Wii Sports.

[QUOTE="PSP_DSL_ROX"] I've been looking around a few other games that caught my eye were Trauma Center, CSI Hard Evidence and Agatha Christie and then there were none.PSP_DSL_ROX

IMO, there are nogreat racing games (many people seem to like Excite Trucks but I didn't like it at all) on the Wii. Since you like racing games I would keep my eye on Mario Kart Wii. Super Paper Mario Is a very enjoyable game, although it's not multiplayer. Of the games you listed the only one I'v played is Trauma Center and I must say, it is a spectacular game but I'm not sure younger audiances could enjoy it.

Yeah, I've been trying to find a good racing game and there are not too many options, and the options that are available don't seem that great. Need for Speed Carbon looks pretty cool though, not sure about it though. I definitely think Trauma Center will be one I get, it looks like a lot of fun. I'm more interested in games for the older gamers, not so much for kids, those games are easy to find!

Thanks for the help!

Never played Trauma Center, not a fan of surgery games and such. But Need for Speed Carbon is really good, lots of different racing modes. It's also humorous to put it in driver view and watch yourself plow through cars and everything else in the way. That's always a hit with crowds. XD

They're just too popular. Pretty much everyone in the world has heard of the Wii, and most of those people are wanting to buy one. They've got factories making hundreds of thousands of consoles a month, but they have to send them around the world. At that rate, each store gets maybe 10 or so. And what are the odds you'll get one out of 10 Wiis? Very, very low.

Only real way to get one is either:

A. Ebay. 'Nuff said.

B. Get really lucky and find one in a store. Smaller stores like Game Crazy are your best bet, that's where I got mine. Most people check huge stores like Walmart, so those stores sometimes go unnoticed.

Well, I would assume that getting shot by the snipers on the roof might slow someone down a little. Or a lot.

The law might also be a little hindrance, as well. And if one succeded, or even tried, they'd have the entire country after them. Not fun.

Lyke omigosh the gamecube is lyke the best console ever and totaly pwnz yur mind!!!11!!1shift1

< /endsarcasm>

Or not.

There's no way to accurately judge which console is "Best" of the last-gen. Or next-gen, or any other -gen you can think of. Everyone has a different opinion, and unfortunately, that means there isn't really a"Best". Some say the Gamecube worked better as a lunchbox instead of a gaming console. Others think that it was the greatest system of all time. Even if we combined the opinions of everyone in the world, it's still just an opinion.

That being said, the Gamecube was really, really awesome. Period.

Or so I say. *Shrug*
