@yearssomuch lot of confusion in all the comments here. ps3 outsold xbox this cycle, the previous one and more than likely the next one too. Gamespot only reports on usa o you get a confused insular view not of the real world.

My ps3 looks better than the pc in tgis demo, but that might be my plasma panasonic. Get a new tv gamespots!

Gamespot loves making a big thing of any slightly bad news on sony. Or making it sound bad.

Just for people who dont understand how all this works sony will have approached both companies with spec of what they wanted and asked them to price it. Nvidia were the highest cost, sony will have said your cards are x amount more can you beat amd. Nvidia couldnt so lost the biddding for the contract. They are now trying to keep face like a sore child by saying, well we didnt want to make them anyway! We are concentrated on the rapidly disappearing pc market.

So all in all a non story, meanwhile ps3 is now in the lead globally on consoles sold vs xbox. But gamespot wouldnt mention that would they?

@MrHanky35 More than anything im suprised why a global website like this doesnt post global sales. They love to post negative sales stories for ps3, and report american sales where the global picture is very different. Im looking at gamespit uk, not usa. Ps I dont want any console to fail, for reasons ive stated before.

sorry for the format this websites horrid. Sony is only 2 mill behind despite the late start and the replacements xbox have sold.. its strange to see this website doesnt report it tho.

Id love to know their motives. Also attached games are higher with ps3, showing its the strongest customer base (and possibly because a good amount of xbox sales are replacement units.

gta has been a ps exclusive for a while now. its not on pc precisely because of copying issues rampant on pc. U dug your own grave. maybe windows 8 can savepc with its locked in tech. unfortunately freedom is not good for many humans it seems!
