I purchased my XBox 360 in February after the launch, when they were still a little hard to find. The first week I had it, the controller went bad, one of the buttons started sticking (Y button). So, I went and tried to exchange it, but they said I had to return the entire console / system and they couldn't guarantee when I'd get a replacement. Not wanting to exchange the whole system, I just bought a new controller, and kept the old one. Well, the 2nd controller had a button go bad (Y button on the first one, X button on the 2nd one), and now I have 2 bad controllers. So, I went and bought my 3rd XBox controller.
I thought about taking one of the others ones back and trying to exchange it for another one, since I have a new receipt. It seems kind of ridiculous that I have bought 3 controllers when I'm not hard on them at all, especially when one went bad a week after I bought it and the store wouldn't let me return it (Toy's R' Us) without giving up my XBox 360.
To put this in perspective, I still have the original controllers for my Atari, for my Nintendo, for my Nintendo 65, in fact for EVERY console I have ever owned (except for 1 bad controller with the Sega Genesis). Being out over $100 just for controllers and only have one working one to show for it is a little ridiculous.
Have any of you tried to return an older controller that was defective after you purchased a newer one? Is there any way a store can tell it's older, maybe by the UPC or SN on the controller? They look exactly the same color wise. Nothing appears different from what I can see.

I did that with a headset because the wire had came loose. I bought a new headset and switched my broken one and returned it without any problems. It works but is somewhat dishonest but who cares its not like M$ feels bad for RROD or other issues. lol
[QUOTE="CorporateHammer"]The game is good not great. I have cleared the first 2 chapters and enjoying it. Ive not played multiplayer but I really dont see a high replay factor. Almost exactly like gears as far as graphics and controls. Id give the game a 7.5 maybe an 8 but no crouch is kind of annoying and enough to drop it a half point. Overall good game.Gaticus
Why is not being able to crouch such a big deal? You couldn't crouch in gears, unless you were in cover, and that game is awsome! The only problem I've found with this game is that it doesn't have blindfiring, which would come in handy during some parts. Other than that I haven't really found any problems, I'd give it a solid 8.5 and then tell you to buy it, because it's worth it.
Same here I would have LOVED a blind fire
[QUOTE="DonMega187"]They didnt put planes in the game because they didnt want people crashing them into the twin tower replicas(seriously). Which I think is stupid. But hey we still get to fly helecopters.stealth360snipai already knew tht. but maybe they just put in replicas that just fly in and out of the city. im just pondering the possiblity of there being a glitch allowing u 2 get in. btw, ur picture is creeping me out =P
Possibly but I dont really mind since there are still helecopters.
