hey all figured id jump in on the action
I didnt post this in the "What game should I Buy thread" because I already own all these games, but i sit here looking at my collection, having some trouble deciding what to play....
so i figured id ask you guys for some help, I have ps3 and 360 and these are the games i'm considering:
Pro Evolution Soccer 2k10 (PS3)
Uncharted 2 (PS3 - already beat game, thinking about going back for trophies/treasures)
Demons Souls (PS3 - never beat the game, thinking about starting it up again and starting from scratch)
Dragon Age Origins (PS3 - fell out of touch with the game, don't really know if i want to play it on a console or not...)
Splinter Cell: Conviction (360 - beat the campaign story and coop story, might try out other modes)
Borderlands (360 - have a high teens Hunter i was playing with)
Battlefield Bad Company 2 (360 - almost done with campaign, got sidetracked by multiplayer and other titles)
Assassins Creed 2 (360 - beat the game a while ago, but considering getting DLC)
Fallout 3 (360 - had a character with about 20hours of playtime but fell out of touch and have since bought a new xbox so if i play i'd start from scratch)
Fable II (360 - I never got too into this game like i did with the orginal Fable. Dont think i gave it a fair shot, might start it up again, sometime)
Oblivion (360 - see explanation for Fallout...)
Gears of War 2 (360 - i'm on the last act, got sidetracked with work so never finished it and haven't been back to it since...talk of Gears 3 has rekindled the flame...)
I have other games like Just Cause 2, Dragon Age, God of War III, FFXIII, and a bunch of others that I'm not considering at the moment, because i've already beat them (i.e. God of War III, Bayonetta) or i'm just not interested in the moment (i.e. Dragon Age, FFXIII). So I thought i'd ask this wonderful community as to what game I should stick in my console?
Okay first off.....
Most of the talk about what LeBron is going to do in the off-season (including the stuff with Greece) is all media created. The Media (aka ESPN) is going to beat the story to death like they do with every other story.
Now my personal opinion is LeBron is very very smart for feeding the flame every once in a while to keep both Cleveland fans and the NBA on its toes. Here's why....
If you look at an organization like the Minnesota Timberwolves and how they handled KG its a prime example. KG was clearly their best player and put fans in the seat and made them a playoff contender just about every year. He had a couple of years where he could have made a run at the finals, but his team wasn't all that great. KG stated from the start he had no intention of leaving Minnesota and he wanted to bring them a championship, and was one of the most loyal players in the NBA. And the result of that was a franchise that new that whether or not they were going to win a title they were going to sell-out games and make a bunch of money because of this, which meant KG ended up playing with an aging Latrell Spreewell, Sam Cassell, and Wally Szerbiak.
By constantly leaving it out in the open what he will do this season, LeBron has forced the Cavs to do everything in the power to surround LeBron with the best players they can get their hands on, and show him that they mean business in getting a ring. Now I am from Cleveland, and I know that money is scarce in that city, so I can assure you that losing LeBron James is something that would kill that city.
As for LeBron trying to become an NBA Billionaire, I personally don't have any issues with this. People get upset that these professional athletes are holding out, and trying to make more money, but the reality of it is no matter what you do for a living you're always trying to make more money. If you make $20,000 you're aiming for $40k. If you make 4 Million you're aiming for 5. Whether you're a lawyer, author, basketball player, or doctor the majority of people are always aiming higher. I dont hold it against LeBron for wanting to be a Global Icon. MJ isnt as big of a Global Icon as people think he is. People in the United States tend to think that he is God of sports but in reality he didn't really do anything until he stopped playing. Guys like David Beckham & Tiger Woods (pre-scandal) are the ones that have successfully marketed themselves while they were playing, while they were at the top and have reached a level that I dont think MJ was ever on.
Now say what you will about LeBron but the only reason you know his name now is because he can play basketball. And the only reason you know most of these athletes is because of their physical abilities. Once they are no use on the basketball court they become irrelevant (in the eyes of $$ not in the eyes of their sports legacy) and aren't worth any where near as much (look at Antoine Walker). So i dont blame a guy for trying to set himself up to continue a constant stream of revenue that goes way beyond his athletic abilities. It's smart. Unfortunately most people just assume that these athletes should only concentrate on their jumpshots and any time they spend on anything other than that is counter-productive. Just because he's thinking about his future after basketball doesn't mean it hurts his game. If it was an issue of health you wouldn't hold it against him...(Barry Sanders)
thatAll people that has a PS3 should buy this game. IMO its mandatory or else they're going to miss something. :D
