Just installed a 5850 on my pc and I have it connected through HDMI and now when I plug my headset in, I get no sound nor does Window recognize the fact that it is plugged inn

Also, I get black lines and jitters every now and then, even while not gaming.

Any help, would be appreciated, thanks.

Yeah my 9800 gx2 ran crazy hot at times. Probably due to my case being a stock HP one. My computer isn't custom built so I'm going to buy a new case along with the card. So far it seems like the 470 is the way to go.

Looking to upgrade my GPU from an NVIDIA Geforce 9800 GX2. My budget is around 200-300 dollars. I do not care if it is an ATI or NVIDIA card, just looking the most bang for my buck. Thanks in advance,

Anyone interested in buying a 9800 gx with a corsair 650w power supply? pm me or email me at doomsong83@gmail.com. Any reasonable offer takes it.

Thanks for the advice all. I'll stick with the 9800 gx2 for now till the other gpu's drop in price.

Thanks for the advice. My mobo doesn't have SLI support so I don't even know if my pc uses both gpus on the 9800 gx2. That's probably a noobish question though.

I have a 9800 gx2 at the moment and was wondering whether I should upgrade to a 5770 or just wait till the 5870 drops in price? Would the upgrade be substantial enough to warrant me purchasing it? Some guy a work is offering me 150 for the 9800 gx2.

Also, what's the correct way to install the new gpu if I were to get it, drive wise I mean. Remove all the nvidia ones first?

Never mind. I found the option. Was missing because my PC monitor doesn't support it. Anyway to test if it will run smoothly before I go out and buy a blu ray drive?

the bluray drive has nothing to do with the refresh rate assuming the t.v can support that refresh rate you have to set it in the graphics control panel i use 32" 1080lcd and have an ati video card in the catalyst control center i can set the refresh rate to 24hz which would give you the effect your looking for.DJ_Headshot
I see 25hz in my nvidia control panel but I have it connected to my monitor which i sonly 60hz so when I turn it on it stutters. I'm guessing on my HDTV with 120hz that won't happen and I'll get the effect?

Topic pretty much sums it up. Considering using my PC to watch blu rays on my hdtv but I really like viewing them at 24hz or 24p. I have a 120hz hdtv so I like to use that feature.
