@el_marto2003 @shantd

I've been wondering this for years... and honestly I think a true "hard core gamer" is an obsessive (almost OCD like) gamer. I think of the guy that plays ModernWarfare for 30+ hours a week, the same goddamn matches and game play. Essentially playing in the most repetitive way possible. Day in and Out with the same game for months or years. Only straying to play another game that is almost the exact same or the sequel.

Hardcore gamers probably spend the least amount of money in the video-game industry but the most amount of time with a particular game.

An important factor is that they do not like change if it is too sudden, and are easily wowed by graphics or cool gun attachments and achievements.

In relating to another thing entirely, beer, a Hardcore gamer is like the BudLight drinker who is loud and arrogant and drinking 20+ beers in a session(while refusing to try any other beer), while other gamers appreciate craft ales of all varieties and enjoy only a few at a given time.

I want a Wii U (nintendo fanboy here though I own all systems) but until there is at least a couple other must haves it just isn't worth it. Add in a new Zelda and a Wii U price cut then maybe... maybe...

For now I'm thoroughly enjoying my 3DS XL, so many good games and more just keep coming out before I can even finish them, definitely a good thing. Hopefully the WiiU makes a comeback from all the negativity like the 3DS did.

The game review played the Misogyny card, why can't I mention Misandry? In fact why is that not okay ever by anyone?

ok, let's do things your way...

Listen up guys, you are not allowed to have an opinion or ever be a victim. I repeat, if you are male you must not have your own opinion and keep your mouth shut and anything that happens is always your fault.

Do you feel better now?

This is the first time I have logged in... well... in about 5 years. First things first, people have to stop approaching EVERY piece of media out there with a magnifying glass looking for "misogynistic" content. Especially in a videogame series described as "outrageous, exhilarating, sometimes troubling crime epic"... is there going to be some material that people might find offensive? YES, this is GTA after all.

What if the tables were turned? and men started sniffing out every single detail about how MEN are portrayed poorly or negatively?

Perhaps, how in GTA, 99% of all the crime and killing are portrayed as men. It seems as though all men are bloodthirsty animals on a nonstop killing spree. Men are shown as petty and untrustworthy, even crazy. Men seem to only like cars, killing, and money for some reason. Also, why are these men so lowly and misogynistic? I live in a large city and rarely do I see misogynistic behavior from men. The list goes on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on.

Yes, I notice lots and lots of anti-male content in all aspects of media, from tv shows, to video games, to movies. But I don't care, because it's not real life, it's make believe.

To be fair, I think it's fine to mention this game is misogynistic and the consumer should take note of that before purchasing... but to mention it several times and devote a section to it is troubling, considering how you mentioned the male characters are so horrid... but never mentioned that it was an example of Misandry placed there by the game developers. Does anyone even know what "Misandry" means? because it's a real thing... but I guess so unaccepted my spellcheck doesn't even recognize it... thats scary and sad.

Do you think it's fair that most Male characters are portrayed as misogynistic? Is that reality? Is it perpetuating an unfair stereotype? Why aren't these questions EVER asked?

I'm sorry for the tirade, but I am tired of hearing about stuff like this all day everyday. I just don't like hearing a one-sided conversation for 10+ years of my life without end.

well, I have a 3.0ghz p4 HT with a 7800gs and 1.5gb of ram and the game runs really well on "high" settings.... though anything on ultra really starts to lag it, and forget about anti-aliasing.... but otherwise it looks fantastic and plays great
