Yep. I received the $75 gamestop gift card today. Of course, I immediately checked the balance online and it was correct. "A+ transaction"... I think I will wait for the next buy2 get1 free sale at gamestop because I bought so many games over black friday and x-mas that I still haven't played.

Nice o: i wish i was as lucky as u haha

Final Fantasy XIII I bought the CE for £50. Its my biggest gaming disappointment.

-Hoax-

same here -.- it's not worth 50 dollars to walk in a straight line, which was 60% of the game and listen to "I'm going to protect cocoon" or "Are we supposed to protect cocoon or destroy it" as most of the dialogue...fighting just required mashing x over and over until u win on auto battle nd occasionally pressing L1...and no mini games like ffx and other ffs did so it sucked

Cheers for that. It's been a point I've been trying to make for such a long time. You can dislike it, but it doesn't mean that your opinion is the right one, or that your reasons are anything but POINTLESS.

Also, take those first FF games. Then V. How is 13, a stunning polished PS3 game better than those first ones? The cut-scenes, the battle sustem, the combat, the music, the worlds, everything.

Sorry but I seriously don't see hater's point.

Marmotas

Wait, and what makes your opinion the right one?

-----

My reasons for not liking the game:

- The games was just walking forward 95% of the game. No variation whatsoever. There was nothing to do besides walking straight and fighting. Its not about towns, its not about a world map, its about the level desing, it was just a straight line.

- The music was very uninspired, right down anoying.

- 80% of the talking in the game was about the same thing in different places = what do we do?, do we destroy cocoon?, do we save cocoon?, im going to destroy cocoon!, im going to save cocoon!. There, i just resumed 80% of the game dialogue.

- Horrible storytelling. I know they where trying something new... but it did not fared well.

- Horrible exposition of the facts, world, story, etc. Is just like going to a movie, and having someone giving you a pamplet before going in so you read it while/previous watching the movie so you can understand it, just because they didnt felt like making sense. The writters did a lazy job at mixing the information of the world we where in into the narrative.

- The leveling up system had no variation nor choice involved, it was just like the game, a straight line stripped from any exploration or imput. It was just pretty, nothing more.

- The battle system was extremelly superficial and required (most of the time) no real thinking. The game played for you, as simple as that. Selecting paradigms was the ONLY imput you had on the battles, and you only did it so the game can keep playing for you... is not strategic, is not involving, is downright insulting.

- The characters where uninteresting.

And Im sure i missed a LOT of flaws, but those are just some i can think of right now.

-----

About older FF games, how can we see them as better than this... its easy, more engaging characters, more interesting story, better storytelling and writting, better music, better representation of the world we are in (for us to actually care about it), better leveling up system, and so on.

THIS.

I kind of liked it :\ The storyline wasn't as great as FF10 and FF10-2, and I found it boring...one thing that really sucked was how u can't go back to any world after the end of the game except Ch 11, Ch 12, and Ch 13. Also it needs mini games like the other ffs had D: I don't think the missions would count as a mini game and that's the only thing left to do after post game besides training and upgrading weapons for trophies like treasure hunter...

Which one would serve better as a physical wall and for support like stealth rock or spikes for skarmory?

Steelix, Sassy, Ev trained for HP and Sp. Def @Leftovers
-Earthquake
-Stealth Rock
-Explosion
-Stone Edge (Only rock move in my team xD)

OR

Skarmory, Impish, Ev trained for HP, Def, and 20 Speed @Leftovers
-Spikes
-Whirlwind
-Brave Bird (Should i replace this with stealth rock since I don't think this will even survive for 3 rounds setting up spikes?)
-Roost

Other pokemon on my team are scizor, salamence, kingdra, mismagius, and vaporen if it helps with anything o-o

Skarmory actually walls more, don't be fooled.
Roost goes a long way for survivability, and skarmory doesn't have the horrid ground, fighting and water weaknesses that steelix does. Definitely swap out steelix.

I'm bad at rating in general though, so I can't really offer much more help.

Hegna1

Oh o: never thought about type match ups alot haha. for skarmory is it good to have both stealth rock and spikes on it and keep out brave bird coz i don't think it would function good as an attacker xD

You already have a Physical wall in Skarmory, which has self-heal, therefore Steelix really isn't needed. I would use a Heatran in its place, which would help with your Fire weakness. It also attract earthquakes, which means more chances to skarmory to lay down Spikes/Stealth Rock, and more chances for Mence to Outrage away. Give Skarmory SRock, and use a Sub Heatran, to ease prediction:

SubHea: Timid / Naive, 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

~ Fire Blast
~ Earth Power
~ Substitute
~ Toxic / Explosion

@leftovers

Use Naive if you go for explosion. Switch on the fire attack, sub on the switch, and fire away until the sub is broken.

Spec Heatran could also work.

SpecHea: Modest, 40 HP / 252 SpA / 216 Spe

~ Fire Blast / Overheat
~ Earth Power
~ Hidden Power Grass
~ Dragon Pulse / Flamethrower

@Choice Specs

A Flash Fire boosted Spec Overheat / Fire Blast coming off Heatran's base 130 SpAtk deals reediculous damage, even to something that resist it. Fire blast 2HKO standard Blissey, Gyarados and Dragonite, Heatran's common switch-ins after SRock damage. Fire blast does more damage over two turns, but Overheat deals much more damage on the first. If you use Overheat, use Flamethrower on the last slot to sweep late-game.

I'm also against SD Scizor without fighting moves. Steel/Bug gives you terrible coverage and make you easily walled by any bulky steel pokemon. Superpower / Brick Break over X-Scissor.

Sludge Bomb on Venusaur isn't bad per-se, but makes it stel types set-up bait too. If possible, use Hp Ground. If not possible, Roserade can fit the same purpose without changing much. Timid, 4Hp 252 Spe, 252 SpAtk, S.Powder/Toxic Spikes/Leafstorm/ Hp (ice/fire) @Focus Sash makes a great Toxic Spikes Lead, and Timid, 4Hp 252 Spe, 252 SpAtk S.Powder/Sludge Bomb/Leafstorm/ Hp (ice/ground) @Choice Scarf is a wonderful scarfer.

Icare0

Great idea...just one problem tho, I started EV training late after I finished the game and caught most legendaries w/o using synchronize so I don't have the right natues D: Any other suggestions, but not legendaries? xD Roserade is good, but I don't really like using HP since it's power and type is hard to determine and I probly won't spend that much time looking for a perfect pokemon with the right HP xD

A pretty big problem. Heatran is the only fire-resist to really help with your team synergy that way, since most others fire resists wouldn't be bulky enough (infernape/most fire-types), or would add others weakness problems (water types/dragon types). The same goes for the grass-type pokemon, since your other best bet after Roserade would be Shaymin.

Solving the fire-weakness any other way tends to change the entire focus of the team, but hey, we can try. Get a Rain Dance Kingdra:

Rain Dance Mixed Kingdra

208 Atk / 136 SpA / 164 Spe, Rash/Mild, Swift Swim @Life Orb

~ Rain Dance
~ Waterfall
~ Hydro Pump / Surf
~ Draco Meteor

Switch in the fire attack, scare the poke, rain dance, and sweep. At worst, if a counter comes, you nulified you fire weakness for 4 turns. At best, you sweep your opponent. Putting it over steelix isn't a bad choice.

Haha kk imma try that out :p and shud I switch for steelix or skarmory, steelix has higher defense so it shud wall more pokes than skarmory can and instead of a grass pokemon I'm thinking about getting a SubCM misdreavus since I need ghost/electric type moves haha. would this be a better choice than misdreavus?
