[QUOTE="Dr_Niles_Crane"]Here are some of my own thoughts on this game demo: 1). It seems to be trying to appeal to a different audience than those who perhaps played the old Colin McRea rally games in years gone by. By this I mean it is a bit more extreme sports in approach such as the events and actual music and other factors. Things like the back ground music, flares going on screen, the chit chat between drivers. 2). Very impresive graphics, it looks like a very well presented game with many things going on around the car and the car itself. These things I would include the fire works, track side spectators, other cars on timed trial races, damage modling and the likes. Those are my thoughts so far, I may add more about handling when I have put more time in to give the game a fair chance under different conditions.bitemeslippy
I agree with your first statement but also I would say rally racing in general is tryint to appeal to the more extreme audience lately. Check it out on the X Games this year? I don't normally like watching rally but that was pretty sweet.
Yeah, it seems the good old motorsports are changing. I mean the British Touring Car Championship they all use the same car now I think, which is a big change from the road cars that were changed to racing spec (like Honda Civic, Vauxhall Vectra etc, now its a shell that I think they just put their own customer engines in, it was a lot less over taking to me anyway). WRC seems to have gone downhill as well really, in my opinion, it is shown less frequently on TV for instance and there are fewer manufacturers taking part and less names in the sport.
