@CptJohnnyRico @Draco416 @Tuckpoint What I'm saying is that incentive doesn't work as often as people think. I used to hate cutting my parents' lawn, but I got an allowance for it. I STILL hate cutting lawns. If you offer me a $300k/yr job solving algebraic equations, I will still hate algebra. I'll love the pay, but I'll hate the algebra.
I've played Gears of War, Call of Duty, Battlefield, Saints Row, Uncharted, Killzone, Sniper Elite, Assassin's Creed and more. I've also watched Immortals, Kick-Ass, Django Unchained and more. The only people I ever plan on killing are Taliban.
@CptJohnnyRico @Tuckpoint To me, incentive and reward have nothing to do with it. Playing Call of Duty is no different from watching Django Unchained or Kick-Ass. It's glorified violence and murder, plain and simple. But I agree with Tuckpoint that it's not just about completely removing those elements form the industry, because that's an unrealistic goal. It's more about good parenting, i.e., teaching kids "the difference between". The problem is that we need more REAL parents with REAL morals.
