All I see in the differences for these 3 platform is the brightness, contrast and blur. Consoles are more blury, PC is more as the actual graphics. The brightness is different on both 3 but there is a difference from consoles to PC. Nearly all PC games have a built in setting for this. About controlling the game/gameplay, GTA4 is better with a controller. The "PC port" can be played with a keyboard and mouse or with an Xbox360 gamepad and default controls are set like the Xbox360 one (don't know if the ps3 one is compatible), so there is no gameplay disadvantage for PC gamers. I play FPS, 3rd person and strategy games with a keyboard and mouse and don't buy them for the xbox360 (except for GTA4 and GoW1/2), racing games and lots of sports games _must_ be played with a gamepad. I play them on the PC with the xbox360 controller as I said before and controls are all pre-set. Best platform for gaming is a PC [just my opinion].
So many say "why was the Wii not included?". Obviously because these are far superior in therms of graphics... doh... So Wii is sort of another category (for non-gamers may be more fun)... Both consoles are VERY good. I would like to point out that the Xbox360 is older and was launched without lots of financial losses. Don't know who lost most money in the beginning but I think that was the PS3 (if they are making profits now). [Wanted to add: NO BODY can say (other than fanboys) one of these is better than the other graphically. They are very similar. In some one might look better and in other might look worse.] I would buy an Xbox360 - costs less, more games I like and know friends that have it so I can play with/against them. Not saying PS3 is worse! But Xbox360 suits me better. Finally that's what matters.
The only competition GTA IV has are the previous GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas. It's awsome to see a game like this. I was a big fan of the old 2D game, got very impressed with the introduction of the 3D one, now I'm mostly amazed with the details GTA IV has. Don't want this game on a console, I don't like FPS and these type of games on consoles. Waiting for the PC version, the best thing about the pc versions is that the graphics quality can be modified easily, so who doesn't like that "oil painting" it can be modified. GTA is the best of the best for all the gamers :) Long live to Take Two, 2k Games, Rockstar, Rockstar North and all other subsidiary things!! Hope to see a rating of 10 also for the PC version.
