I never got the DSi XL, because it was a rehash of a rehash of a rehash. lol. In fact, I went straight from the original DS to the 3DS.

really? wow i thought i was the only one who still had a 1st run DS and used it. LOL for me there was no reason to update till the 3DS. but i still use my DS as well. i got both FFiv games in both slots =]

Did you change the display back to the normal size? kinda like how you could change the display on the gba when playing gb games. I forget how, but if you hold a certain button or two, when first starting the game up, it will be the right size and the screen wont be stretched.

slect/start while u select the game will bring the reso down so u can enjoy it on the 3ds without it being blown up like a dsiXL would do

I would have much rather had a 3d-less system with better specs than what nitnendo gave us. Dont get me wrong, I love my system, its a step up from the DS in every way but after seeing the NGP games and specs its really hard to resist a peice of technology like that. I think nintendo could have done something like that if not better if it scrapped the entire 3d gimmick.

Where did you hear that MOST of us are done with the 3D? Some games implemented it poorly so I can understand not using it in those. Some people are done with the 3D simply because they didn't give it a chance. They probably played for a while, got a headache, turned off the 3D and decided never to turn it on again. For many of us, the 3D has become an important part of the experience. It's not a gimmick.

imho i dont think i can go back to playing games without the added depth that the 3ds gives, they just look boaring without it now.
