So i'm an impatient narutard who just had to buy the demo for $2.99... But it is worth it, but you people will get it in a few more weeks for free. Qore Brings more than the demo but 3-4 additional videos.
As we all know Ultimate Ninja Storm Is a new installment on Next-Gen Console (PS3). This game has been totally transformed and has taken out most flaws of its predecessor, for one on one combat i can say so far. The demo is worth it i will say now but kudos if you are patient.
This demo gives us control of Naruto Uzumaki and Kakashi Hatake in one playable stage, with time limit 99. The game uses initial comments as usual while you probably get a good look at the background. I was amazed at how the graphics were reborn. They weren't 2Dimensional, Naruto did not have lines on his face(except for the slits he was born with) and he was not red colored.
Some people are thinking, why would i spend $60 dollars on this game just for it to turn out like Dragonball Z:Burst Limit? Well as both Naruto and Dragonball Z step up to the ps3 with their first games, they went and different directions. Bear with me when i say Ultimate Ninja Storm is the successful Starter. Because they have done more than a beef-up of graphics.
With gameplay, maps are Free-Roam and the game is completely 3Dimensional. Move Lists are there Just like they were before, and I'd say the combinations you can do with naruto will blow everyone away, and it's good that they are up-to-date and not sloppy like clash of ninja. Chakra Building is simplified in this game, where you hold Triangle and have a ton of Chakra Created in seconds. With a tap of Triangle you enter a chakra mode where you can press another button for a certain action, Circle for the Rasengan/Lightning Blade. X for a chakra dash (Zig-Zagging fast dash that takes seconds to reach opponents). Square for chakra Shuriken(tons of lighted Chakra Shuriken, more than the standard throw) or press triangle once more for a bigger aura burst of chakra and press circle to launch an Ultimate Finish Move: Ninja Handbook or Double Lightning Blade.
The game has two new systems: Awakening Mode and Storm Mode. On the left of your healthbar there are three leaf symbols, each one lights up at a certain point. when all 3 light up the player gets a new colored aura (which for naruto looks like he's calling out fox chakra while keeping his sanity). In this mode Chakra is restored automatically and rapidly, but for a very short time.
In Awakening Mode when your life has one bar left, Build Chakra to the limit and wait for a wild aura to build and you enter Awakening Mode. Naruto: One Tailed Demon Fox Cloak. Kakashi: Sharingan. Naruto's Awakening mode gives two more specials, stronger attacks with a new moveset, and power increase. Kakashi Teleports from every attack. Both modes are temporary and the screen will black and white out why they revert. For certain Characters if you make a K.O. in awakening mode it affects the ending commentary.
The game has completely changed, i do not think there are stage shifts, and there is ninja jump and dash. ninja dash is the normal hit X twice. ninja jump is press X twice and hold and you do tons of acrobatic flips and side jumps wherever you want until you stop. Also In the game you have more ninja tools to utilize. like floating bags that shoot kunai, chakra/hp restoration. Paperbombs, More bombs, and more.
You Also have support characters, by pressing L1 or R1 you can summon a support character to help you, or if you are a character with only one support character the button pressed will determine the attack. If you knock someone away with the right timing press the button on the screen for a support character to do additional damage, if you get knocked back you can press the button to have damage minimized as the support character catches you. and You must wait after using support characters.
