A new gaming generation arrived with its three major consoles; Sony's Playstation 3, Microsoft's Xbox360 and Nintendo's Wii.

So, this question came to the people's mind " Which one sould I get ? "

Most people were trapped between PS3 and Xbox360 . . . Not giving much of a thought about Wii.

As for me, I was excited when the new generation began but, couldn't get any one of those three.

Because :

1- I was happy with my PS2 .. and speaking of the PS2 . .. as all of us know , this one dominated the last generation with no apparent compition at least to me . . . cause like 95% of the people I know had it . . . and a few of them had the Xbox.

2- I was willing to get a PSP as a replacement for my lost Gameboy Advance SP . . .

3- I said to myself " I am not in much of a hurry to get a new console so, I will wait ".

and then, around 3 months ago, My PS2 broke down while I was playing Persona 4 . . . I don't know, Maybe I worn the thing out. It's okey since I am going to fix it when I come back .. I am in vacation.

Recently, I gave up waiting and decided getting one myself . . . I didn't care very much about the Wii.

So it was, PS3 or Xbox360 ?

I am surely not a fanboy . . . I really believe that every console of the three has its strenghts and weaknesses.

the PS3 was most likely the one I am getting because I had each sony console so far .... I felt I have to be loyal.

It seems to be the most sophisticated, It has Blu-ray Disc player which seems to be the Disc fromat for the generations to come. It works quietly. In my opinion, it is the best-looking. Free Wi-Fi support and rechargable controller. The Price was a defect but, now it is cut by 100$ .. Sweet !

PSN is not developed as Xbox Live. has less online players .. as I heard. No interesting exclusives so far and weak game library which seems to be changed by the end of 2010 considering the awesome games coming out by then.

As for the 360, the design doesn't look bad . . . and I don't hate it or anything because I myself recommended it to my cousin .. he looked so anxious to get a console.

Xbox Live is brilliant but, it is not free and you will need to get a Wi-Fi adaptor ... I guess this means extra 100$ ?!

Game library and exclusives for the Xbox360 is unmatchable "at least for now" with the mighty Gears of War and Halo.

Wii is a creative gaming console for the family . . . It is lots of fun in multi-player but, I don't thhing it will satisfy my needs as a RPG gamer who tends to play single most of the time.

If you have the money to get more than one I recommend you get Xbox360 and PS3 . .. That was my idea but, I don't think I will be able to get both consoles + accessories + games !!! Too much for me, man.

If you don't have the money, get one . . . and believe me, you won't regret getting any of them because none of them is PERFECT and you won't have everything.

You are probably asking which one I am getting . . .

I am getting a PLAYSTATION3 . . . but, not now . . . maybe by the next summer cause I will be waiting for the good games to come out and maybe upgrades in the PSN . . .

Not sure which PS3 I will buy . . . the fat or the slim but, I guess I have to wait to see how good the slim will be ?!
