WTF! We don't need it! We've already gotten our second serving of pie with the Slim. Two analog sticks and an internal hardrive would be the ****, but we don't need it! This is why the world is so effed up. Everybody is so gimme, gimme, gimme. It facilitates the industries that weaken economies and countries.
Don't spen $30 on a 1GB mem. stick!!!!!! Go to Amazon.com. you can get a 2 gig for like 20 bucks, or a 1 gig for ten. Maybe even a half-gig for about $3. of course, you have to pay for shipping, but if you combine it w/ some books or such, you can get free shipping maybe. Like me, I got a 4G for $35 and Halo 3 Legendary Edition, unopened, mint condition, for $61.12
on amazon, you can get a memory card for about $10 a gigabyte, but the largest is a 8gb. if you're not gonna put a lot of music, hacked stuff, downloaded games and demos, etc., i'd suggest a half-gig if you only want game saves, or about a gb or 2 if you want saves and moderate amounts of music/other media.
sounds like the lithium cells have been burned out. if you consistently let the battery die, or you leave it on the charger all the time, that'll happen. same as with cell phones and computers.
on a few games, the slim actually loads slower than the fat one. but on every other one, it loads faster, even if only by a few hundredths of a second.
