If you feel this way & you're at chapter 3, I don't think the game is for you.Since simply knowing the total qty of levels is dampening the experience, the rest of the game will be a let down. I'd move on to a different game if I was you.

It doesn't seem like a "this isn't the game for me" kind of thing. He's not bored, he just feels like it's a race to get to Chapter 26 now rather than never knowing when the end is coming. I have to admit, that probably is a nicer feeling then getting to Chapter 24 and 25 and knowing in the back of your head that the end is a mere chapter or two away.
On the plus side though, Uncharted 2's chapters are very inconsistant. One could take you an hour and another could take you a few minutes. So... truthishly... you won't really know when the end is coming anyways unless someone actually spoils the story.
Uncharted 2 came with my PS3 bundle I got on Black Friday 2010. I played it, beat it and thought... man, if Uncharted 1 is half this good, I'll be happy. And happy I was. It's not Uncharted 2 (as everyone is saying), the gameplay isn't quite there, the scenery gets tiring after 8-10 hours and... spoken like someone who has platinum'd the game twice now... it's actually much less forgiving than Uncharted 2 on harder difficulties. It's unreasonably frustrating at times. But it's a damn good game in it's own regard.
If you liked the second, you'll at least find something to enjoy about the first and for the $15 or so price tag these days... it's well worth the price of admission.
The more complicated a console gets, the easier something can fail. Especially when it comes to the finicky nature of discs and lasers that read them. This isn't like the NES of the old days.
I definitely get that way sometimes. When I was unemployed I was playing almost non-stop (inbetween job hunting and interviews) and burnt myself out pretty good. I don't need a long break to get back into it, so my longest downtime (that wasn't intentional, like a vacation without access to games) is probably a few days lol.
Yeah, I came across this site around a month or so ago. It's still fairly new, but one of the best organized, most in-depth trophy sites around. In my opinion. ;)
