I dont have GOW, but I play COD4 and it is a spectacular game. Out of the box runs great, online gameplay is great. It is a run and gun for the most part, however on Hardcore servers, you must utilize all your skills. Hardcore mode just takes less hits to kill and be killed no HUD until a teammate calls one in. etc. Anyway, COD4 offers most players and styles what you are looking for. Our clans servers run both and are busy with each gametype. My money is well spent on COD4

If you were permitted to play the other COD this isnt any worse. I'd say its the violence and some swear words in the single player campaign nothing you probably don'y hear at school anyways! just my thoughts. ANd im almost positive you can turn blood off just as in the others.

I have Oblivion because I started out gaming with RPG's and I haven't picked it back up in months, I think its a bit too slow or the learning curve is longer than I thought, I want to enjoy it, but I hate waisting 2 hours in a game and get nothing accomplished. Am I missing something? I plan on revisting the game in the near future once the cold long winter settles in. I'm hopeing to have better patience.

My prediction is game of the year by several gaming formats when its all said and done. It will blow most games doors off right out of the box, its just if they support it with patches for gliches, fixes, and mods.

And who is PCGamer UK anyway ? REALLY?

My sons Xbox is going to be a year old in december, we had problems with it about 2 months ago, right b4 school started. The rings of death...yada, yada, yada. Long story short, they said 4-8 weeks, it came back in 2, with free stuff to go with it. So although ours had problems, and I'll be honest I was fuming! However,I felt Microsoft did their part by taking care of it swiftly and obvoiusly wanting my family's gaming business to continue. My kid is happily playing Tony Hawk right now, and I'm happy to have a nice warranty behind the product and actually glad to have it go now and over and done with.

Like the others said dont let this scare you. take the good advice your getting and go enjoy the best console gaming Ive seen for a long long time!

have and played PGR3. Unless all the hooplay is due to online play. I dont get alot of it. I really dont care to go through cones and speed traps, and kudos challenges over and over and over again...its redundent. Again I love it when it comes to the street races....is the online play awsome?
