Opertune day

Today went on a round about adventure. I went to Liquidation World today, see if they want to hire me back for the couple of months I'll be here. Christmas is extra busy, and they ussually hire a temp or to anyways, so I figure we could help eachother out. I'm broke, and they need someone for a few months who won't be a stupid n00b.

Went to the mall, shopping for computer parts, scouting prices on things. (being broke and all) The electronics store where I ussually buy computer bits went under, so they refered me to a place acrossed the street which turned out to be 10 better and MUCH cheaper. Got some RAM for my family's computer, and convinced them to get a new printer. This thing is awesome, it prints 8.5X11 photos to. And it turns out it's a scanner as well, something I didn't even know! I'm pretty freaking excited, since I've been wanting a scanner for just about forever now :D All my sketches will soon be uploaded professionally. No more taking photos, and touching up on photoshop to be used.

I also may have worked out a deal with my parents. If they buy me a new MAC, then I'll give them my uber large TV and current PC. They work out to about the price of a new mac, if not more, so we all get something out of it. I get my laptop, so I don't have to take my computer with me, and they get my tv and a better PC.

I also got some free money from the government today (w00t) $53 something. Always comes at the best times, I swear. That money is going straight towards birthday, 1 year anaverssary, and possibly christmas as well, for my girlfriend. If there's any left over, I'll get that domain name asap :P

The old Basement's back

I've decided to resign as administrator of the new basement forum, and return to running the old one on invisionfree. Why? Well, just to many server issues that I had no control over. We kept crashing, and loosing posts, which sucks. I can't really close it, since I didn't pay for any of it, and don't own it, so I just quit and left. They can deal with it, I'm sick of it.

Moving out west

Well, things never seem to go as planned for me, and here is another prime example. I received a letter from Musashi Auto parts dated september 11th, informing me they are not interested in me as an associate. I was so sure I would be accepted, having pleanty of factory experiance, INCLUDING working some shifts in that factory before.

This set off a chain of events, which results in me having no money, no job, and no way to get into college. Pretty **** What is a guy to do?

Well, a little while ago, a friend of mine offered me and Sarah to move out west with her, to Alberta. Only things stoping me was a) Sarah would be here and b) I was pretty sure of getting into Musashi and getting the means to get to Oakville in a year. Now that that's all gone to hell, I'm open for options, and it seems that heading out west is the best one.

- Starting wages at most places are $15 per hour, $1.15 more then I'd make in the factory
- No sales tax (save money on car, computer, and more)
- Jobs are litterally EVERYWHERE. Emplyment crisis in effect
- And I've always wanted to go, just because.

Only problem is... Sarah's parents. We are quite sure they will not take lightly to this. She can legally move out if she wants, it's just a matter of making it actually happen. I know this is going to be a very explosive and volatile issue, but we're going to have to deal with it.

Right now I'm just planning, researching, and preparing. I'm most likely relocating as early as January. I definitly won't miss the Ontario winters

the OMGWTFBBQ!!1

yeah, I actually hosted a mutha f*ckin OMGWTFBBQ!!1 It was sweet, got wasted, ate some bugers. Same old, same old

So my girlfriend almost died...

Wow, ok, here's what happened. Sarah (my lovely girlfriend) and her family where driving to a friends trailer to go camping yesterday, and they got into a car accident. I'll tell you now, everyone is ok and relativly unharmed. (thank god) Except for some airbag burns, and sore bodies, they are ok. Here's what happened

Coming into town, Sarah's dad tried to stop at a red light, but the brakes didn't work. They swerved, hit another car and went into the curb. The other car went into a gas station, and took out a gas pump. Luckily, nothing ignited and there was no explosion.

The Van was inspected afterwards, and there was no brake fluid whatsoever in the brakelines. This is weird, because on their way by, the stopped in at Liquidation World to shop and visit, and the brakes where working just fine then. 5 cops and 3 fireman have confirmed a rock flew up and punctured a hole in the brake lines, causing them to fail at the red light and drain so quickly.

A few things are still up in the air, and criminal charges are suposedly 'pending'. What got me the most was the way the cops dealt with Sarah's dad. One walked up to him, said he could smell the booze on him, and accused him of slamming a few back while driving. Once he blew a 0 on the breathelizer, they shut right up there. They're also tossing around the idea he did this on purpose. What the hell....

I found all this out last night around midnight, so I took the day off from work today to go see her. We hung out, watched some movies, it was good. Everyone's just really releived nobody got anything worse then some bumps and burns. I mean, given the situation, it could have been a hell of a lot worse.

Turning 20 in an hour

It's Friday night, and tomorrow I'm turning 20. Got a massive party planned, with a huge 'OMG WTF BBQ'. Found me a special premium bottle of captain morgan, twice as expensive as the regular stuff. I'm hopiong to be sober enough to remember to take pictures, and maybe even shoot some video.

In other matters, I am working on completing my gaming experiances I missed out on. I skipped the 16 bit era, going straight from my NES to an N64. I missed SO many games along the way. To catch up now is pretty tricky... if you do it the normal way that is... I just got me an emulator, since recources for old used games around here is pretty bad. All I can say is Super Metroid is the best platformer EVER. I feel much more complete having played it now :D And A Link to The Past, the one Zelda game I don't own. Good times

And if your interested, I'm going to start making use of the video feature, now that it's open to free account people (totally awesome) All I have right now is the commercial I made my avatar from, so if you've always wondered but never asked, now you can find out

Prom tonight... again...

Even though I'm technically graduated, my girlfriend isn't yet. So, I get to go to my 5th consecutive prom  This year I went with the tux. Went with the Sean Connery look from Goldfinger

Only differance is I went with a red vest, and full white tie instead of bowtie. I got someone to cover for me at work today and tomorrow. My boss thought it'd be a great idea to work today still, but I don't fell like working 8 hours, then have half an hour to get ready and dressed, and then go out for dinner, prom, and party all night. That'd be one long freaking day

Pics and stories to follow, until then cheers
