I'm replaying Oblivion currently, and I also just got Borderlands GOTY edition. I'll probably replay through ME1 and 2 to get a perfect character ready for when ME3 comes out. Still playing BFBC2 and Halo Reach for multiplayer. If I'm bored I have books to read and tons of stuff on Netflix to watch. So summers don't really suck for me.

Where my xbox is it gets pretty dusty so every couple of months I open it up and use the air compressor. I have an elite and I know what I'm doing so I haven't messed anything up. I'd say only clean it if your console develops an overheating issue, which is caused most of the time simply from dust.

I waswondering about this update as well. As for not keeping updates, thats bs at least in my case. I can put in a game I haven't played in a year and it wont update unless I cleared my cache or there is a new update. I've never had a game just forget an update.
