It was amazing. So I was looking through the forums over at Cheapassgamer.com when I saw a thread about a Hollywood Video $5 game sale. The deal was any used game 30 dollars or less could be bought for only $5 each! I was stunned and darted over to 3 different HWV's. These were my spoils:

Splitscreen I mean. Yeah they got Splitscreen coop and competitive online but it's only 2 players. I was scratching my head. They had 2 already so would it really have been that much harder to make it 4? I have friends *Gasp* and said friends like to play splitscreen with me. Currently the only other splitscreen online games we play are Warhawk and Halo. We could have played R2 but now that's all screwed up. I went on Myresistance.net and made a thread asking about the issue. The replied with this quote from one of the devs before locking my thread. Why the hell did my thread need to be locked in the first place? I have no clue but this is what the dev quote was.

So yesterday I got the PS3 80GB. I got Warhawk, CoD4, and Motorstorm with it. I couldn't exchange Motorstorm for UT3 like I had wanted to though. So anyway upon taking it out of the box my first thoughts were "Wow this is a slick machine." It felt like a new car in a way. The controller was different than what I was used to on the Wii but it wasn't new since I had a PS2. I got used to the menu and interface pretty quick and like all of the features it offers you.

I went through all the downloads and patches but 2 things concerned me at this point. 1. Upon connecting the PS3 to my router it connected fine but says UPnP is unavailable and my NAT type is 3. This baffled me because I know for certain I have UPnP enabled on my router. I check my router settings and sure enough there it was, enabled. I have yet to see if I have any VC issues but this is quite odd. 2. I don't know if I have enough ventilation space for it. It's between my GC and N64. After playing for like 2 minutes the fans kick into high gear and stay on for as long as I play. The air is pretty hot that comes out. Anyone think this is a problem?

So possible problems aside I really like the PS3 so far. I set up my PSN and got my ID (Duckman5) and hopped into CoD4's campaign. This game simply rocks.Way better than I thought it would be. I liked it so much I didn't even play Warhawk. :lol: Online is even better. (Even though I suck at the moment)

So in all I am very pleased with the PS3 so far. I'm enjoying it and if anyone would like to add me feel free. :)

I'm real cool with just my Wii and all not even thinking about another system but this weekend my cousin said he wants to sell me his 80 GB PS3 new and in the box. Okay 200 bucks is a damn good price for a Blu-Ray player and I guess I could get the 1 or 2 games I want from the PS3 as a bonus. I'm only thinking of doing it because of the price. Anyway I'll see if my cousin ends up selling it to me this week and if he does then I guess I'll see what gaming is like on the other side of the fence.

*EDIT* Crap, my parents pulled the old "Well then this is now your Christmas Present" trick. :( Now I need to wait until christmas to play it! Damn...

Well my PS2 is gone. I sold it to my friend for $125. Seriously I didn't by many games last gen but this gen Wii is my main console and I didn't really want my PS2 anymore. :? I already like my Wii more than my PS2 and it looks like my Gamecube could be next to go. But I doubt it because I rarely sell Nintendo systems. I'm completely Wii focused and even my DS has been shunned for quite some time. I'm looking forward to the new games I'm getting this fall and years to come should be even better.

...About the MP3 review. 8.5. One thing in particular is worth ranting about. They said "The lack of Multiplayer was disappointing." Are they serious? I mean WTF? Do they not understand this is first and foremost a single player game? Retro made it explicitly clear that they want to use all their resources on just the single player. Retro also said that the Multiplayer in MP2 was just a a little experiment and that Hunters of course was a spin-off. So what exactly led to them being disappointed with lack ofMulti player? Nothing at all. Now that I see just this the whole reviews credibility is in question and quite frankly I don't trust them for reviews anymore. First TP, then Bioshock, now MP3. It's like they are doing it for attention. Anyway I feel this review is pretty much garbage.

Technically that would make them the medium 3 but whatever.It's got to be BWii, Zack and Wiki, and No More Heroes. Well these are mine anyway, what do you think you think?
