I just started using XBL a few days ago but I've been having a lot of problems with the demos on there. I tried downloading The Force Unleashed demo and it keeps crashing a few mins into the opening video. I also tried the Rainbow 6 Vegas demo but the loading bar just stops and nothing happens. The only one that's worked right has been the Dead Space demo, guess I just got lucky that one worked.

Can anyone think of any reason why this might be happening? Crappy HD? Xbox about to fail?

My last 20 gb 360 succumbed to the RROD recently (was bought in 4/2007) and now that I'm looking to buy a new one I was wondering if anything other than the hard drive has changed in the 60 gb. Is it any more reliable? Any quieter? Thanks for your feedback.

Alright so this probably should have gone under the broken 360 thread...but whatever.

Got the infamous RROD today...thank GOD I decided to get the Best Buy replacement plan! Just a few questions about what the hell to do next, maybe some other unlucky owners can help me out here:

1) Any way to get my saves/gamer profile off my hd when I buy a new 360? I vaguely remember there being a transfer cable or something...probably about $75 right?

2) Are the chipsets in both the "pro" (white) and "elite" (black) now the falcon design, which is supposedly more reliable, or just the elites?

3) I actually profited $100 by having my 360 break (payed $400 for pro a year ago, price drop rings it up as $299 now :D) , is it worth it to pay $50 MORE and get the elite or just make $100 and get another pro? (I never ran out of hd space) Just wondering how much a difference hdmi makes as opposed to standard cables when playing on 720p.

A sucky day, but maybe someone out there can steer me in the right direction! Thanks guys.

So I got my 360 a couple weeks ago and haven't used it that much since I only bought PDZ which kind of sucks. So yesterday I buy PGR3 and bring it home and start playing, but my 360 started making these annoying high pitched noises that sounded like they were coming from the disk drive...and it wasn't there before. Anyone else had this? Guess its good I bought the best buy extended warranty...

Here's the deal: I have wanted a 360 for the longest time, and my 18th birthday was last weekend and I got more than enough to buy one now. Question is, is there any reason to wait for the "zepher"? I won't be playing on an HDTV and I don't know what else the HDMI port does, if anything. Also, do you run out of room on the 20gb? I'm fine with the white one, I just don't want to miss out on a price drop, if there is one, on the current premium system when the new one comes out, supposedly late april. I don't want to wait any longer though! Basically, since the systems are the same except for the hd, I want your opinion on whether I should wait it out for a price drop that might not happen or the bigger hd, or just get one now.
