The best thing is if your monitor has DVI and is HDCP compliant is to buy a HDMI - DVI cable like me and then connect up your audio to speakers. I have heard some horror stories about that device

[QUOTE="donalbane"][QUOTE="RickLemieux"]Microsoft gives me a choice.  The Premium package is perfect for me,  it comes with component cables which is the connection for my TV.  It gives a me a hard drive for Demos, movies and game saves.  My friend did not have the internet and was not interested in downloading.  He just wanted to play games...so guess what, he bought the CORE and he loves it.  Now if you are a technical person and someone who wants everything that the Elite has to offer, buy that one.  I'm very happy with my purchase and have no complaints.  Great games and a great online experience, what else could I ask for.NextGenNow

I aprpeciate the choice too.  Although I have almost all the accessories (HD-DVD, WiFi, Wireless Headset, 120GB HD) I didn't have to pay for all of that up front, and was able to wait until I could afford what I wanted, when I wanted it.  It's great.  A fully tricked out 360 easily eclipses the 60GB PS3 feature-wise... if you have a media center PC, that is.

LOL! Okay....NO!

Blu-Ray > HD-DVD audio quality

WiFi built in > Xbox Tower

Multimedia Center PS3 >>>>>> 360

Web Browser > No Web browser

7.1 >>> 5.1

True 1080p >>>> Fake 1080p

SD slots >> No SD slots

Mem Stick Slots >>>> No mem stick slots

More USB ports >>> Less USB Ports

Optimal HDMI >>> Crapped Out Knock Off HDMI

PS3 >>> 360

Fact.

AMEN!!!!

Wasnt it because it was an easy way of getting a new console when your premium broke rather than paying through the roof for the repair costs LOL

Also don't forget that by buying a PS3, we are giving money to a country that does not believe in the American way of life.  I say you should stick with the Xbox 360 and buy quality over anything from Sony.   That's just my two cents.

Good day.

americangamerx

Yeah my Samsung monitor is about 6 months old. Its a syncmaster. It has a VGA slot (PC) and a DVI slot (for PS3). All i use is a HDMI - DVI cable and then use the AV cable you get with the PS3 plugged into my amp for the sound. easy!! But most important the screen has to be HDCP compliant or else or oyu will get is a black screen
