Would buying a gold membership through xbox live with a visa gift card work? because when you put up a credit card on xbox live and it stays on there forever automatically charging your account everytime your membership expires. Is there anyway I can use the visa gift card just to buy the membership once?

Well the problem is that I have an ethernet wire that I use for my xbox 360 and my computer which are beside eachother. Everytime I want to go on xbox live I take out the ethernet wire from the computer and plug it into the 360. But I don't get an internet connection on my 360 till I reset my router. Which is really anoying to do because I use both quite a bit of times and my router is far from my room. Is there any way I can connect to xbox live without reseting my router everytime I use the computer? or do I just have to reset my router everytime?

-everything works fine its just anoying.
