I can only speak for myself, but these rocker chairs are quite multipurpose for me. An office chair would be limited to gaming/PC use. I use the gaming chair for hours a day, mostly non-gaming related activities. I would have to buy/build some kind of massive wrap around desk for an office chair to work, which would be awesome, but not practical. I am probably going to buy that X Rocker Pro, just wish they offered a version without all the electronics. Probably only an "$80" chair with $20 worth of electronics marked up to $160...oh well.

I have been using these style chairs for about 12 years. Before they were "gaming" chairs. They were just uncomfortable cheapo rockers haha, but I preferred sitting low to the ground. Everything in the room is low. TV and PC are on 20" stands. I even had to custom build a table/desk to get the height that I wanted. I don't play that many games honestly, but I spend plenty of time working on art projects, and I find the floor can be used like a big desktop that I can sit in the middle of. Anyways, not everyone is buying these for the novelty, ya know? I haven't bought a new chair in a few years, but it is well overdue. I was shocked to see the improvements made to these chairs, until I realized they all come with f'n speakers. I don't want speakers, I don't want to plug things in, it's a chair, I want to sit. I have a real decent sound system in the room already. But they look MUCH more comfy than the one I am sitting in right now... I hate having to pay for the electronics, but considering how much I use these chairs, if one in comfy I'd buy it. Has anyone owned the X Rocker Pro? or the X Rocker II? for an extended period of time? I am not interested in hearing about your Lay-z-boys or leather sofas, I own both, but they are in my living room.
