Yes, in fact 4GB is enough just for Call of Duty. If you do decide to download more games/demos/other content, you can always get one or two cheap 16GB USB drive for like $10 each and plug them in as the hard drive.

I know somebody else already mentioned this, but I want to emphasize on Saints Row: The Third. That game is wicked fun. Definitely worth to check out.

I have 2 games that comes to mind as timeless. Terraria - 2D open world platformer/Adventure game with huge opportunities for exploration. This indie game will definitely stand the test of time, for me at least. So far, I have logged hundreds of hours playing with friends. It is so incredibly addicting and fun. To the Moon - Story-driven RPG-style (but not a RPG game at all) adventure game. The whole game is made in RPG maker, thus it has the look of a "Golden Sun" or older "Final Fantasy" RPG game, but it has no RPG gameplay at all. It is completely driven by a story with emotions, humor, sadness, twists, and love. One game that has bought many gamers (including myself) to tears after it ends. Also, it has an incredibly moving soundtrack.

Like @scoots9 said, there are some PS3 games that support 1080p, but not many. I think God of War 3 supports it (if not, it probably supports 1080i). But by looking at the back of the box of a couple of my games that's laying around, most of them only goes up to 720p.

Your buddy's argument is since your PS3 is set to 1080p then his games should be in 1080p also, right? No.

Since his PS3 is 1080p, the home page menus are in 1080p, but the games are a different story. I have 2 PS3 games laying around, Heavy Rain and Killzone 3, and I would (and most people would also agree) say that both are absolutely amazing looking games, but both of them are outputing 720p, according to the back of the box.

My two arguments to throw in the pot are: cheaper games (you mentioned already, but it is SO much cheaper than games on consoles, especially with the deals on Steam) and there are a huge selection of great indie games. The consoles have a very limited selection of indie games, because the process to publish an indie game on the console are so much more work than on the PC. Great indie games like Superbrothers: S&S EP, To the Moon, Lone Survivor, Realm of Mad God, Atom Zombie Smasher, Machinarium, Frozen Synapse, Terraria, and so many more awesome games are criminally overlooked by console gamers.

Maybe not convincing your friend to get a super expensive rig, but a decent rig to get started in PC gaming, and then he might realize why thePC is superior.

This came to my mind when I was recently reading some Gamespot reviews.

Gamespot reviewers give games emblems, such as Great Story, Outstanding Gameplay, Funny, Just Right, etc., based on the games' excellences or weaknesses.

I was wondering if it was possible to put a kind of search engine behind those emblems. For example, I'm looking for a game with really good story, so I click on the "Great Story" emblem, and it lists all the games that recieved the emblem.

I have no clue how hard is it to implentment this feature, but I do think this will make it for easier for users to find games they are looking for.

Thanks for reading this.
