the world cup so far

The world cup has been very good and entertaining so far with some very good matches. I think I will have a top ten list and it will be the top 10: my favourite matches to watch in the World Cup 2006 so far.

10. Korea Republic 2 vs Togo 1

Very enteraining game. Korea are a very good team to watch.

9. Sweden 0 vs Trinidad & Tobago 0

An amazing result which was basically Sweden attacking the whole team with T&T desperately trying to get a result, which they miraculosly did. A very entertaining 0-0 game.

8. Tunisia 2 vs Saudi Arabia 2

Two of the "worst" teams in the World Cup did battle in Group H. Tunisia were the favourites but Saudi Arabia played very well and were unlucky to not get the win. Highly entertaining.

7. USA 0 vs Czech Republic 3

How can you not be entertained by watching the USA get smashed?

6. Netherlands 2 vs Ivory Coast 1

Ivory Coast are a top quality side that are unlucky not to progress after been drawn with two great sides. A very entertaining match and both teams played well.

5. Argentina 2 vs Ivory Coast 1

Ivory Coast were very entertaining in this game as well. Both teams had great chances and Ivory Coast deserved a point for their efforts. Riquelme played very well and his set up for Saviola's goal was sublime.

4. Mexico 3 vs Iran

Another highly entertaining game. The second half wasn't as good as the first but overall it was a very good game.

3. Argentina 6 vs Serbia & Mont. 0

This wasn't entertaining by the fact that both teams had alot of great chances and was very even but It was entertaining to see how well Argentina played (and how bad S&M played) The second goal was fantastic and it definately has to be seen. It wasn't a great long range shot or anything but it was one of the best team goals you will ever see.

2. Australia 3 vs Japan 1

You may think this is byist but I am an England fan so it isn't byist at all. It was a very good match and the Socceroos comeback and Cahill's heroics were amazing. A fantastic match that was slightly ruined by the fact that a Japanese player was on the ground crying about nothing every 5 minutes.

1. Germany 4 vs Costa Rica 2

The opening match of the tournament was still my favourite to watch from an entertainment point of view and it will definately take some beating. A fantastic match which included some superb goals.

Please tell me your thoughts on the games so far and tell me if you agree with my list. And are there any that shouldn't be in their? Are their any that I have forgotten?
