I find it very, very, very hard to believe that someone who has never connected their PS3 to the internet is having these problems. If they're not connected to the internet, how would their PS3 suddenly not be able to play games?
Pretty sure it isn't a leap year. The leap year is the same year as the summer Olympics. it doesn't matter if the system doesn't know if tomorrow is the 29th or the 1st it's going to freak out.
I personally don't think we should be mad at sony. If someone hacked them, like it seems to be thats the case, then we really have no reason to be mad at sony, as far as i'm concerned they have been great to me and they have made the best console out there.smurf_god672
if it was a hacker people who have never been online wouldn't be having the issue. A date issue would be the only viable excuse for something like that.

I have never in all the years of owning my xbox 360, have had anything like this happen. EVER.
Cause the red rings of death is totally not even a big deal amirite? My friend is on their 9th xbox and I have another friend who said that they have random maintenance which would be equally as annoying =P I don't like the Xbox games so I wouldn't bother tbh.
just something odd, i tried a different user on my 40gig ps3 fat and its working. tried using my account and error 8001050f.
also my secondary user was made about 3 weeks ago to try different factions in mag, so i wonder if the age of the account has an effect.

My husband and I just got ours literally two days ago and we're having the same problem so it's not the age of the account -_- Tried loading up Dante's Inferno, Same issues as everyone else. We could try it on my account that has no trophies, but I'm not starting it from scratch =P MGS4 works fine though >=| even though that's the hubby's game and not mine so he gets to play lol
