Goin' to the Blood Bank

    Hi all,
I went to the blood bank yesterday it's been the funiest thing I have done in a while lol. First I had the results of my latest and first blood donation, I'm a O+ and I seem to have a very rich blood with many platelets and red blood corpuscles :-D - I'm so proud of you my little blood.
First you have to fill some grids of yes/no questions about diseases and other stuff like pregnancy, hiv, etc. Then you have an interview with a doctor who asks you the same questions , plus some others about injecting drugs / having sex with other men / having had several partners during the last 4 months ...
And then if you passed the test they take your blood.
I really liked to see my blood going in the pipes and filling the little bags.
When everything is over you can go to a special room where someone propose you a menu and bring you a hot meal.

It was a good experience and I really encourage you to do it.

I started to make some submissions again these days and I really hadn't missed the slowness of the moderators, and there unjustified refusal.

Have a nice week !
Ben.

I can't believe I haven't been here for twenty days huh ...
So first, HI all!
I hope everyone is doing quite fine.
So, since my last blog I have kept working and I will be over on friday and will get paid on the 12th of august, which is definetely the good part in having a job.
I haven't been in a good mood for a while now, Holidays kinda suck when everyone went away somewhere exotic and you're all alone by yourself, ain't that right ?
Although I went to see the firework at the Eiffel Tower on the 14th of july ( the French 4th of july ). I went there with my very best friend Emmanuelle and some other guys who are more or less close to me. It was a good day / night and then I went back home, using the subway and was pretty astonished to meet that girl who was in my class some years earlier and I had never seen again since that year, It was hard to remember her name, and I wasn't even sure of who she was at the very first time. We had a quite nice talk and we gave eachother our email adress. Two days later I remember her name : Sabrina Da Silva :) I was proud of me lol.

Then I spent a very lonely week, waiting for it to end fast and so come the week-end which started today. Yesterday night I walked Paris' streets with to good friends of mine and went back home very tired at 3 am. And today I saw an other friend in a café. It was nice too. Except that I missed him at the very moment he left :( snifffffff.

If anyone would like to have some talks on MSN messenger, my address is mistreated_soul@hotmail.com, There are too few persons online and it's really sad :).

About how the school year came to a happy end and holidays started quite good

Hi,
First, about the school, the school year is over now and I'm really satisfied since I can go to the higher class next year. I trully wasn't sure until they told me so, on friday ( 23.06 ). So everything is doing great with school, we had a pick nick that day, with almost all the students of my class and the main teachers. It was cool but it was a sort of 'Goodbye Meeting', there are people I'll probably never see again, and there are also people I wish I know better, but I didn't take the time to speak with them during this year and I fell a bit sad, especially about someone ! I send him a mail and got an answer, I hope we'll get to know eachother better.

I spent the very first days of my holidays at the cinema, because it was " La fête du cinéma" here in france and we could see movies for € 2.00 , which is very cheap in Paris. I saw "Paris je t'aime" featuring elijah wood and nathalie portman as the only famous actors :) (also maggie gyllenhaal but she isn't really famous for anything but her brother, is she ? ), it's in fact 18 short movies about love and about paris put together. It was great, because I knew those place I saw in the movie and I felt like I was close to the characters. I'd like to say that Margo Martindale did a wonderfull job, she was to me the best actress of this movie, she plays an american tourist in paris and she tells us about how she felt in Paris, she is speaking french, so she uses simple words which made her monologue stronger and very touching.
I also saw Volver, with penelope cruz. And scary movie 4 :)

On tuesady I went to a friend in Evreux ( which is a medium city, not very far from paris ) with another friend, we spend some days resting and went to the beach, played video games, watched soccer !!! etc

Since this morning I'm working !!! It's not very tiring, the guys I work with are quite cool. I think it'll be easy, it ends on 08.01 :).

I hope everyone here he's doing good.

Green Street Hooligans

Hi all , I watched Green Street Hooligans yesterday, and it was really great. I was afraid for it could contain too much soccer or too much violence/blood/death, but it was really nice-balanced. Hate and Love both take a big part in that movie, it's all about 'protecting the one you love in spite of dangers' not 'breaking other's face for fun' which is a good point, because I like it better.
(I gotta find a picture for this blog :) wait a minute ... )

Elijah Wood and almost all other unknown actors are acting very good and the soundtracks are wonderful. You have ALL to listen to this song : One Blood by Terrence Jay used at the end of the movie.

Hope you'll see and like it.
Ben.

Exhausting so cool week

 Hi all,
I had a cool week, I haven't been home much since tuesday, as Charlotte's ex-boyfriend went back to his parents, she had an half-empty flat so with two other friends we spent every evening and some nights there. It was really cool. We watched some of the Soccer World Cup matches, France sucked lol ... i don't really care :).
it was a bit exhausting because we had very short nights ( like 3 or 4 hours long ) and we looked like zoombies at school, but still it was great.

School comin to an end.

Hi all,
On Monday was my last English class for this year, and on Tuesday was the last French class ( It was also the last class of our French teacher, as she is retiring, she said some very nice things about how she felt this year and the years before, how teaching made her happy ). I think I will miss them, I didn't even like the French class, and I didn't learn much at the english class but it's just so trange to know these people will get out of our lives and there's nothing we can do to keep them in, I went to see a play on saturday :) and when it was over I had the same feeling about the characters, so wierd.

A nice week .

Hi,
I was gonna write something cool about my week but my mother just put me in a bad mood and I don't feel like writing anything nice anymore. Too bad she can't stop doing this, I could be much happier I guess.
I'll try tomorrow.
Have a nice saturday afternoon /evening / night everyone.
Ben *gonna listen to some music*

Hey

Hi all,
Today was an ordinary day, 4 hours of math and then nothing.
I had a lunch with friends and then I went to one of them and we played some video games. Simple but so appeasing !
Then I went to the cinema with Emmanuelle, we didn't know what movie we would see, and finally chose CRAZY, a Canadian movie about a child born in the 50s and who grows up through the difficulties of life.
Again a very touching movie and both a painful and a funny one.
Go see it !!

I wanted to let the lyrics of a song, but Firefox don't want me to copy paste it, because the new blog is using scripts, and scripts are not allowed to have access the clipboard. Strange computers ! :)

I'll try with Internet explorer at another time, or I'll type it maybe.
I hope you'll all have a great day tomorrow.
Take care.
Ben

( PS : thanks for commenting my latest blog, I was afraid that no one would do so, as I had been away for a very long time )
( PPS : today was the kidnapped little girl ( I spoke about yesterday ) 's funeral, seeing a coffin for a child is really unbearable. They shouldn't show such things on TV )

Short weeks

Hi all,
Here in France is the 1st and the 8th of May are non-working days, so we have two very short weeks. It's really great.
Last year they were both Sundays :) which wasn't cool, but this year they are Mondays, so we had an extra day for the week end.

Lately, I saw Eight Below at the cinema, it was really cool, actors were good enough, ( I like Paul Walker much, I've his Editorship ahah) but the story was wonderful, I usually don't like Walt Disney's movies much, but I think everyone should see this one.
But I'm not sure every children would stand it, as some of the dogs get hurt, ( I wouldn't have stand it when I was younger ).
It's a very touching movie. Go see it !

I also started to watch some episodes of Firefly - the series by Joss Whedon - I'm a bit disappointed by the first episode, the movie was much more interesting and I miss River's marvelous fights, but I'll keep watching it.
( I also watched SHOOTING DOGS, a very painful movie, but a very good one too )

I hope everyone is doing fine here.
I'll try to be back more regularly.

Ben.
