I think with DLC developers shouldn't even think about it until the game is done. That way they give the players the best experience on the disc and if they want more they can buy the DLC. But it is here to stay and that means: 1) MS and Nintendo have to get rid of that point system. Allow us to use real money, either through credit cards or pre-loaded cards that Sony uses for their PSN and Apple uses for iTunes. 2) DLC shouldn't be things that could have easily been in the game originally. Mass Effect 2 did this with Zaeed. And even if it is free (for people who bought it new), people who don't have access to LIVE, PSN, and Nintendo WiFi miss out on it. 3) Disc games are going to be around for longer than 10 years. A lot of people don't have access to the internet (less than 10% of the world last time I checked). And for some if the people that do have access, it isn't always the best.
3D is a gimmick while we still have to wear glasses. Once those are gone more people will buy into 3D, cause seriously who wants wear the stupid glasses for 3 hours?
