I've decided to start making video reviews of the free-to-play games that I have thus far tried and upload them on youtube. As much as I love writing reviews, personally, I form an opinion better when seeing what the game is about visually rather than with words. I've already started working on my first review, which will be on Shaiya. There's a small criteria to how I will go about these reviews:
- For every game that I play, the minimum level requirement I must reach is level 10 and the maximum level is 20 (or more if I decided I want to personally continue playing). I know the minimum level requirement is quite low, but I feel that if a game can't immerse you in within the first ten levels, it's not doing its job. I don't like wasting my time trying to get to level 30 because "maybe that's when the game will get better." A good free-to-play game will catch your attention and make you want to play because it's fun, not because "it might be fun."
- Even if I've played the game before, I'll play it again and start a new character.
- I won't play the same class for every game. I usually make priests/clerics/healers in the event I ever like the game and want to level a class that is needed in almost every major MMORPG. I will switch it around, whether it be a warrior, rogue, swordsman, archer, assassin, mage, priest, summoner, etc.
- All games reviewed will receive a number rating out of 10 at the end. It's not a definite number so don't take it to heart, if you really want to know whether a game is worth your time, read my reviews or watch my videos.
Side Note: I'm a pretty harsh reviewer as I've been playing MMO for many years and consider myself somewhat of an expert. You don't have to agree with what I say in my reviews, they are mainly for entertainment as well as some information regarding free-to-play games (mostly MMO's). Also, feel free to request a game for me to review- they can even be browser-based like Adventure Quest (just not stupid little flash games, hopefully you know the difference).
